Just recently, there was a terrible incident in MA involving an illegal immigrant, who assaulted a police officer a few years ago, but couldn't be charged. However, just the other day, he dragged a guy on a motorcycle for 1/2 mile under his truck, and when pulled over and told what happened, he just shrugged his shoulders. His wife doesn't want him charged, and wants him to be allowed to go back to Ecuador. Sure there are some bad apples out there but then it same thing when people blame Muslims for terror attacks when really its a small group of people. People come to the states for better a chance a life and get that American Dream everyone still raves about. Its tough to come to a new country with barely anything in your pocket and that's they have to come illegally. No matter what, illegals are now a part of society and they help society grow by doing jobs people growing up in the American culture find they are too good for. Its a tough debate, I do believe there shouldn't be illegals as well, they must earn it like anyone else coming into the country but don't throw them under the bus saying they are the worst people. Illegals make up for a large amount of crime in this country, and they can get away with a lot because.....they are....illegals. 2. It's not a "small amount" like radical Muslims. It's a MASSIVE number of illegal immigrants in our country. 3. They do not help with job growth either. They steal jobs. 4. They don't "have" to come here. Just because they have it tough in their own country, whether that is Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Romania, or where ever they come here illegally from, does not justify them being here. I think they have a list of 40 of the most dangerous ones being released last week but said about a total of 4,000 people are wanted for deportation due to crimes which is crazy. As for regular immigration. I realize we were all immigrants coming here but I really believe in this economic time, we should close our country and work on getting North America back up and running. The goverment spends billions and billions of dollars for third world countries helping them and yet we still have thousands of people who leave the country for a better life resulting in more money needed for the country, and also for the person who has nothing coming to the "better life".
