EastCoastNiner
Yeah that offensive PI call on Witten was terrible! It was a pretty shitty P.I. call. Both Witten and the DB's ran into each-other.

reno
Anyone else remember when Fishy said Romo was as good as Rodgers as couple years back? Actually maybe before last season?romo was considered to have a breakout year and among the top 3 qb's for fantasy football, so it should not come as a surprise, specially if you're cowboy fan. Flash
Anyone remember when Flash disappeared after the Heat choked the finals away and made a triumphant return when "his" football team, located in the frigid north, won their first game? Its the offseason princess so naturally I'm posting a bit less...no need to get your panties in a bunch. And yes, we choked, I'm not afraid to admit that. Edited September 12, 2011 by Flash

fish7718
It's funny the only thing people will talk about Romo is the fumble at goal line and the interception. No one will bring up the way he was picking apart the Jets with percision passes and manipulating the pocket in ways only he can. Terrible loss, even more terrible when you are there. I loved the game though, despite the loss. It's hilarious to me, people all are gonna bomb Romo who played fantastic hold 2 plays, 1 of them he should have never even been in. Whoever is calling plays at the goal line, YOU ARE UP 7, [expletive] take 2 knees and kick the FG and game is over. Then the blocked punt like holy shit. The third and one, WHEN WE DO DECIDED TO RUN, despite Romo doing great going to the air. [expletive]ing awful how we blow that. Tony Romo did not choke this game the Cowboys choked this game away. I don't know much about football, but is Tony Romo the biggest choker in the NFL? It just seems every time I watch a Cowboys game (granted it's not often), but he always seems to screw something up when they need him the most. lol what? If you're going to enter the thread and say something stupid like that at least have instances. The botched snap in Seattle will of course what will be your main reasoning, which is funny, but whatever, not like that was 5 years ago or anything. Anyone notice Plaxico rape Mike Jenkins on the blind side, which is penalty, and got up smiling like the piece of shit he is? So glad Mike came back out tonight and put that bitch on his ass. btw The third accepted proposal involves a play in which Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward made a block that resulted in a broken jaw for Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers. A 15-yard penalty will be enforced if a player delivers a blindside block to the head of a defender using his helmet, forearm or shoulder. The penalty will be enforced if a helmet, shoulder or forearm strikes the head or neck of the defender. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4md-dmKt820&feature=related If that isn't that rule, idk what is...btw, not complaining about it, it's just a douche move, I didn't even notice it live because they were on the other side of the field...  Love to see Dez after the game, almost crying, love it. Him and TO, crazy. We played great tonight, D looked good, offense looked amazing, we will bounce back in SF. At the end of the day this was a non-confrence game against a team that was better than us, should we have won? yes. Did we? no. Let's get back to work, and make this playoff run happen. I'll have pictures and shit up later in the Cowboys thread
The Great iBoldin
I just re-watched the second half. Romo wasn't incredibly bad. He wasn't good, but it's the first week and I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He's a good quarterback, I would buy low on his stock and expect him to bounce back. Let's be honest, this is his first meaningful game since last season. Also, Dez Bryant is going to be a monster oh lawd. He was great last night, but Revis was also good. What a fantastic match-up within a match-up. Edited September 12, 2011 by iBoldin

Dez owned that chumps ass. Also, I don't know if I've seen a team get so many fortunate wins like the Jets. Houston, Denver, Cleveland, Detroit, Dallas, ect. The list goes on and on. A team only has so many lives, and they will run out of them soon enough. Granted, they did enough to win those games, but they were all lucky as shit. It's beyond frustrating to watch. Also, the Jets had no penalties last night. If that is how the play disciplined football, they're in big trouble when they start committing penalties.....like holding Ware every play. EastCoastNiner
In regards to Romo, he receives as much criticism as he does because he play for Dallas, Cowboys fans always try make him sound like the best QB in the NFL, and because he is just flat out not clutch. He can be an excellent QB, but it seems like he's always making that one big mistake. Granted, a lot of it may stem from that one bobbled snap, and I may not be able to point to other instances off the top of my head, but that is the perception of him for many people. Also, he fumbled and threw and INT at the end of the game last night. I don't know how you can't place MOST of the blame on him, regardless of his passing stats.

He was good, he played Dez well at times and at times Dez burned him. Dez only had 3 catches and the touchdown was on Cromartie. Revis played well.  Good teams win close games. The teams on the outside looking in don't win those games. All the Jets do is win. You mad since Rex came in the Jets > Patriots? You mad Tom Brady is damaged goods and can't win in the playoffs anymore?

I don't like the Cowboys either. I won't take you're bait, but you're wrong. The Jets have a worse record than the Patriots since Rex Ryan became close. A playoff loss is a playoff loss. I bet you Tom Brady wins his second consecutive, and third MVP this season, and wins a third Super Bowl MVP? You too scared to take that bet? Or, if you're so confident, why don't we make a bet on the Patriots final regular season record. I'll put the o/u at 12 1/2, and I'll take the over. U scurred? Ban bet, balls in your court. Nut up or shut up.
Owner Real Deal Posted September 12, 2011 Author Owner Report Share Posted September 12, 2011 Haha, come on fellas...no ban bets, no leaving bets. Make it interesting. People don't want to see either of you leave, despite what they may say (mostly about ECN, lol). OTR didn't do anything wrong, so don't bust the site's balls that way, haha. Sig bets are fun, but I have something else in mind. Since you both like to dig around and research the sport, how about the loser writes a huge article (a positive one for Boldin, negative for ECN) about the Pats? Boldin, you go out of your way to write up something that pretty much states how the Pats have proven you wrong over and over again, the greatest franchise in history (even if you don't believe it), and if ECN loses, he'll write up one that talks about them cheating, how they are overrated, etc. I'm sure both of you would hate doing that. I know it we do that bet the result will be bad because iBoldin would have to be gone on his own accord, but it would be devastating if I left. If I win, you write an article about the Bruins and the Patriots (not the 49er's because they still suck), and if you win (which won't happen), I'll write one about the Canucks (that will be hard as hell to write) and the Cardinals.
