The Goods
The Magic are looking to sign a third point guard, but they can only offer a minimum contract. Orlando could acquire a point guard with a larger contract, but such a player would have to come through a sign-and-trade. The Magic used its entire mid-level exception of $5.854 million to sign Matt Barnes and Brandon Bass, and used its bi-annual exception last year to sign Anthony Johnson. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60937/20090802/magic_can_only_offer_minimum_deals/
