Smitty
I'm getting a new phone for my b-day and I'm having trouble deciding which one.. I'm thinking either BB Torch or iPhone 4(I'm AT&T btw) Which one should I get?
NomarFachix
I have a torch; get the iPhone. Or, I can mail you my torch and $100 for the iPhone.

JYD
Latest iPhone rumors say that the new one should come out in October... but who even knows at this pointYeah someone told me like 7 months ago it'd be out early summer. Lol I'd say get the iphone. If you are patient, wait...I'm sure the new one will be super good. Or, if you are impatient like me...get the 4. I got it in early June and definitely don't regret it one bit!
Owner Real Deal Posted September 1, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted September 1, 2011 Get the iPhone. My brother has had far too many problems with his Blackberries, and I'm still using the iPhone 3GS, and it works perfectly. The iPhone 4 is nice...Jess' brother has it. It would be in my hands if I had the spare cash, lol.
reno
I logged on my cellphone to save you smitty, so listen up. can you wait at thevmost 30 days? if so WAIT for the Samsung galaxy 2 phone, it kicks so many benchmarks ass and has the most beautiful screen you can get. buying an I4 at this point would be dumb, so many better options. oh, the galaxy 2 is a panty dropper, I would do anything for you pretty much. Smitty
I'm starting to lean towards the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 now. I'm much, much more used to the touch keyboard on my iPod(which kinda turned me off about the iPhone before, because I didn't like the idea of typing with the screen..but now I like it) and while I do like Blackberry, my Bold keeps crashing/freezing more and more lately. I've had like three in the past two years, and all of them had problems... So far so good with the iphone as far as any type of technical problems after 3 months. The texting/typing on the iphone keyboard I must say is rather annoying, and I do make a decent amount of mistakes. But, I've gotten used to it and better at it, and like you said, it doesn't seem to bother you since you are used to it with your ipod touch...so I say definitely go with the iPhone if you have the money. deestillballin
Since you're asking opinions im going to be 110% real with you Andriod > Blackberry, iPhone hell.. or any other phone at that. I haven't seen another phone OS that lets you send directly to VM without pushing the ignore button on the phone, its like your phone is powers off when they call works great with my Google voice account Ive had issues with blackberry's and my iPod touch just started failing for no reason I went through 2 of them, got an iphone too that I don't use since discovering android. fish7718
I've had the iPhone 2 iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 and my only problem I've had is losing them. If you do get the iPhone 4 you NEED a case it scratches very easily without one. Other than that I feel it is the best phone on the AT&T market. I have fat thumbs and thought the touch screen would be a huge problem getting used to but it really isn't as hard as you'd expect. Me and my sister got our phones back in October together and she got the torch. Her phone has had countless problems (technical issues, buttons falling off, etc.) my only problem is heavy scratching in the back and one large one done the center of the screen which hasn't effected performance at all but they are all from neglect of me not using my case and being clumsy with my phone. Trust us get the iPhone you won't regret it. I had a blackberry curve too and it had some of the stupidest issues like somedays if the humidity was too high the buttons would stop working, absolutely ridiculous. I'd have a tough time going back to blackberry. Edited September 1, 2011 by fish7718
Owner Real Deal Posted September 1, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted September 1, 2011 Just an FYI, I went over to my parents' house today and learned that my bro's Blackberry is completely dead, and he's looking to get a new phone on pay day tomorrow. Not a surprise, with all the problems he's had over the last month (and he bought it back in May, on his birthday). I guess it's been locking up while he's texting, and now the screen isn't lighting up, calls aren't coming through (tried calling him before I went over there), and he basically just threw it up against the wall when I got there because his boss needed him to come in this afternoon, and she couldn't reach him, lol. Legacy
How is it?With a case, it's a really big fun and has an occasional lag (like every other droid) but I personally love it. Everyone has an iPhone, so I went with something different. Check it out when you go to the store. It's dope.
