andreusito
Shelden Williams has agreed to a one-year contract with the Celtics, according to an NBA source. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Williams, 25, was the fifth overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks after a decorated college career at Duke.http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60947/20090803/boston_signs_shelden_williams/

AboveLegit
Well I'm assuming Ainge won't be offering any contract to Big Baby now. Stupid move, the C's didn't need Sheldon to begin with, he will come into games, commit two fouls, and head back to the bench.
Carmelamare
Signing him, and not re-signing Big Baby Davis is going to be a BIG mistake.
Redickulous
As a Duke fan, I'm excited. Good luck Shelden! Edited August 4, 2009 by Redickulous
Cobb
I like Shelden a good bit when he played for the Hawks. Too bad he rarely ever played.
Celtics3420
The Cs agreed in principle to sign forward Shelden Williams, according to source. The signing will not have bearing on C interest in Davis. Marc Spears Marc Spears who works for yahoo says this move doesnt effect our interest in Baby. This is a decent signing i guess, low risk player who can possibly contribute. Edit: Dude is basically an insurance policy IMO.
