Built Ford Tough
Stars sign Alex Gologoski to a 4 year, $18.4M extension. That trade (James Neal for Gologoski) really worked out well for both teams. Also, Jordan Eberle has been added to the All-Star game as an injury replacement for Miko Koivu. Kris Letang has also been added as a replacement for Dustin Byfuglien. Johnathan Towes and Jamie Benn are both questionable for the game as well, as both are nursing injuries. Phightins
So, I am pretty sure ECN fell even deeper in love with Tim Thomas today, if that is even possible....

Built Ford Tough
Anybody else watching the All-Star Fantasty Draft? Lupul is killing me right now. Crowd boos him non-stop and he responds with: "Its ok, I don't want to be cheered in Ottawa anyways" among other gems.

Built Ford Tough
I can barely watch this, that's how badly the fans are annoying me. Yeah, the fans are just brutal. The only thing keeping this on my tv is Lupul's chirping. Kind of disappointed that he stopped, but I can understand why. I liked Phanuef's "They really like us here, don't they?" comment to Chara when he was picked. Other than that, this is pretty bad. The crowd is completely ruining it. EDIT: On second thought, it would probably be pretty boring without the crowd. Just watching them read names would get dull really fast. Built Ford Tough
Patrick Kane: "Damn, that blonde is smoking!" Can't say I disagree with him. A hot chick in a hockey jersey would definitely do it.
Built Ford Tough
Ok, that was lame. I had to work last year so I didn't watch it, but I can't believe I just sat through nearly 2 hours of that. Even though I was only paying half attention to it, it was still enough to be a huge bore. Holy [expletive] am I ever mad. I just about put my fist through the wall when the Pens tied it up with 6 seconds left.

Built Ford Tough
Blew the call that ended up losing us the game. Holy [expletive] am I ever mad. I just about put my fist through the wall when the Pens tied it up with 6 seconds left.    Not really. The Leafs playing stupid hockey blew that game. Gardiner's pinch directly led to Sullivan's goal, Gustavsson whiffing on the cover led to the 3rd goal and Grabovski (who was brilliant) not getting the puck deep likely led to Malkin's tying goal. The Leafs just fell apart. Yeah, having the Bozak goal disallowed sucks, but can you really say that would've been the difference in the game? Its not like it happened with a minute left in the game, it happened a minute into the game. The entire game is probably played differently if that goal stood up. This loss never should've happened. The Leafs just stopped doing what made them successful and it cost them. Is there a worse goalie than Marty BIron? Jesus [expletive]ing Christ my Rangers should've won that game! He is actually one of the better backup goalies in the league. I didn't see the game you are refering to, but he is one of the more reliable backups in the league and many teams would love to have him. (I'm not counting guys like Cory Schneider, Tukka Rask and Johnathan Bernier in that grouping because they are starting caliber goalies who happen to be stuck behind elite starters). Speaking of Schneider, he has been absolutely brilliant in the 'Nucks/Hawks game. He has already made around 5 huge saves including a potential save of the year candidate (after a potential giveaway of the year candidate by him, haha) on Brendan Morrisson

The Leafs just stopped doing what made them successful and it cost them. Yeah you're right. I was just really irritated last. night. But my god, have you noticed how bad Luke Schenn has been this year, or is it just me? He has not developed any kind of offensive game at all. I'm not saying that scoring goals is part of Schenn's job, because I could care less if he scored or not. Its just the fact that not only does did he miss a cross-crease pass that should have been a tap in, but he also missed another open net on a little left to right move. Not only that, but the number of times he's given the puck away in his own end is too much too count. He has absolutely no puck control whatsoever and I know he cost us atleast one goal by not clearing the puck or missing on another horrible pass. Me personally, I could care less if they trade him. I hope he can snap out of how bad he has been playing, and maybe go back to being one of the solid shut down defense like he was last season. Phightins
Maybe it's sacrilegious for me to say this as a Flyers fan, but I like Torts. Lindy just annoys the hell out of me. Seems like every night he is complaining about some other team whining, yet he whines more than any other coach in the league.
Built Ford Tough
Yeah, Ruff is brutal. He has always been like that, though, so I'm just used to it now. In another note, how hilarious is it that the Leafs haven't given up a powerplay goal in a month (became the first team since I believe the '78 Blackhawks to do that) and their PK is still in last place (0.8% worse than Columbus) and have still given up more PPGA than any other team (41, 1 more than Columbus)? Built Ford Tough
So did anybody else catch Sam Gagner's 8 point night last night? Absolutely nuts. Everything he touched turned to gold in that game. Tied for the 2nd most points in a game in NHL history.
Phightins
I know Gagner is a good player...but, to put it simply, if you'd tell me an NHL player would have an 8 point game, he likely would not be my guess.
