ChosenOne
The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a five-year contract on Tuesday, the team announced. His agent, Mike McCartney, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Ngata will get $40 million in the first two years of the deal. A source familiar with the deal told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the total value of the deal is $61 million. McCartney told ESPN that the deal came together Monday night and then Tuesday afternoon, when it was finalized. "The two things that brought this together was a deadline and domination," McCartney told ESPN. "Today was the deadline to sign franchise players and there's no doubt that when the Ravens saw Haloti dominate against the Steelers, they wanted this deal done. Deadlines and domination got this done." ESPN.com
fish7718
Crazy money for a 3-4 DE/NT but well deserved, one of the most under rated players in the league. When people bring up the Ravens D you hear Lewis Reed and probably even Suggs mentioned before Ngata. However it's Ngata doing all the dirty work on the inside so they can be even more successful. Make It Naaaashty
Tad bit too much money but he's deserved it by the way he's played the last couple of seasons. Big part of the Ravens D.
