ALDS Discussion: Tigers vs. Yankees

Okay, someone explain the band-aid removal, please. I don't get that OR why you can't have a wristband.

Both were pretty stupid. The idea is when you're a hitter you have enough things going on where you don't want anything distracting you. Pitchers aren't supposed to have any type of equipment that could distract a hitter from the ball. The band aid makes a little more sense than the wrist band because the band aid is close to white but still both are dumb. Particularly you only get this when the pitcher has something white on their gloves or a batting glove on under their glove or something of that nature.

Just incredible the missed opportunities by the Yankees, you can load your line up with all the talent in the world, at the end of the day you still have to play the game. Someone on the Yankees has to make the big hit...

I don't think it's that dumb of a rule. They do the same thing with distracting cleat colors.

Given the fact that nobody can rake in a big hit when it's needed most, I would've just taken the chance and tried for another walk. Earlier in the game, bases were loaded for the Yankees, and they came out with nothing, if I remember correctly.

Bases loaded with 1 out twice..only coming up with 1 run is embarrassing for this lineup.

Alright, that's even worse. I couldn't remember if they had two outs that first time, or just one.

I never said the rule was dumb...but I don't think a band aid and a wrist band can really distract a hitter, I thought the implementation of the rule was dumb. If the wrist band of band aid would white I'd applaud the umpires.

I wasn't watching the game at that moment, so I was under the impressing that the wrist band and band-aid were white? Is that wrong?

Band aid was tan, normal band aid color. As I said that made a little more sense because it's close to white but still it's not that big a deal it's close to skin color as it's supposed to be. The wrist band was black lol that made no sense...
