Cobb
As much as I would like to start following the MLS, I just can't. I think it's because there are no teams even remotely close to Georgia.

Cobb
I was about to ask -- which MLS team you rooting for?Well I never watch any games, but if I were to it would probably the New York Red Bulls (Thierry Henry) or the Los Angeles Galaxy (David Beckham and Landon Donovan). I know there has been many rumors regarding expansion into the South sometime in the future so maybe then I'll start following.

Cobb
Looks like the MLS is set on bringing its 20th team to New York City after it released plans to build a soccer-specific stadium in Queens. So much for the South getting a team anytime soon.
Cobb
Rumors swirling around about Frank Lampard moving to the Galaxy. The deal offered apparently was for two years and worth ~$16 million.

Cobb
Wow! That'll be dope!Would definitely bring about more attention to MLS that's for sure. Too bad it's not happening. Frank Lampard insists there is no substance to reports linking him with a move to the Los Angeles Galaxy and has pledged his immediate future to Chelsea. Cobb
That's a bit of an overstatement... Anyway - Signed, sealed, delivered. Tim Cahill joins the New York Red Bulls. http://bit.ly/SWbDUeI was clearly joking as the MLS All-Star is meaningless, but seeing as Chelsea is about halfway through their preseason they were closer to full strength on the backline then they had been in previous games. While I have little interest in the MLS, mainly because I have no local/regional team to root for, I'm sure MLS fans enjoyed the game last night.
