Built Ford Tough
Len absolutely stuffed Henson there. Huge block. Henson looked absolutely shocked after it was blocked.
Built Ford Tough
Maryland should feel really lucky that they are only down by 11 as they were awful out there in the first half. They probably missed at least 5 open/semi-open shots from 5 feet or closer. They've also given up some open looks to Barnes and Bullock on the perimeter, but luckily for them Barnes has missed two wide open 3's and Bullock missed one as well. If Carolina plays even half as well as they are capable of, they probably have another 14 or so points and thsi is is a 20-25 point halftime lead. Built Ford Tough
Barnes has been brutal today. Missing open looks, committing stupid fouls and can't get into any sort of rythym at all. Even though he struggled offensively in the last game against Virgina, at least he was playing well defensively and did a nice job on the glass. He has done nothing in this game. Built Ford Tough
That last sequence pretty much summed this game up. Henson misses a dunk, Zeller misses a tip in, Zeller misses another tip and then Zeller misses a layup, although he did get fouled. Such a sloppy, poorly executed game. Built Ford Tough
Dirty move from Marshall to find Henson for the And 1.
Built Ford Tough
UNC plays like they are capable of and they blow this game wide open. Went from an 8 point lead to a 23 point lead in a matter of 3 minutes. I really think they were looking past this game to Saturday's showdown with Duke or something. The entire team, other than Zeller, looked completely disinterested in this one.

Built Ford Tough
That game got out of hand fast. UNC flipped a switch and in about 5 minutes they had a 30 point lead. Off to Texas/Oklahoma, now. I'm pumped for saturdays Duke vs. UNC matchup. I'm not. I have to work and won't be able to watch any of it. Built Ford Tough
Texas can't stop Osby early on. He has 11 points on 5-5 shooting already. For arguably their most important game of the season, Texas sure came out flat in this one. Their tournament chances are hanging on by a thread as is, and if they lose this one their chances become even worse. You would never know that by watching the way that they played to start this game.
Built Ford Tough
Kabongo with a nice drive and dish to McClellan for the 3 and then stole the inbounds, although Texas couldn't take advantage of the extra possession. Texas is playing with more energy since that last timeout, though.
Built Ford Tough
Speaking of tournament hopes, Mississippi State is in Overtime against South Carolina right now. They are down by 1 and if they lose this game to a team who is 2-12 in SEC play, they are going to really need a miracle tournament run in order to make the tournament. EDIT: Tied now after a Dee Bost three and a Bruce Ellington layup for Mississippi State and South Carolina respectively. EDIT #2: Sidney gets an And 1 and just as he makes the basket the link dies lol.
Built Ford Tough
Lmao, in the Kentucky/Georgia game that just started the ref took a ball right in the face, tripped over the camera man and landed right on his ass. Great start for him, 20 seconds into the game. Anthony Davis off to a great start already. Had a nice turnaround hook on the right baseline, rotated over to force the tipped pass that resulted in the ref getting nailed in the face, blocked a shot and then just stepped outside and drained a 3. All of this occured in a matter of the first 2 minutes of the game. He really is all over the place on the floor.
Built Ford Tough
Really liking the aggressiveness that Terrence Jones is playing with tonight. When he plays with this kind of energy, he is so much more effective. Two straight defensive lapses by Georgia defensively and Kentucky immediately takes advantage. Their communication broke down and Lamb ended up with a wide open three and then on the next possession nobody picked up Jones who was wide open down low for the lob from Miller. Built Ford Tough
Nice steal by Ware and an even better job of using his body to prevent MKG from being able to block his shot on the other end.
Built Ford Tough
Davis runs the floor to get back on defense, blocks a shot, recovers to block another shot and then comes down with the defensive rebound. The guy is just such a force defensively. It isn't even fair.
Built Ford Tough
Murray State and UNC Asheville both won their conference tournaments today, so they are the first two teams officially in the NCAA Tournament. Tennessee State gave the Racers a bit of a scare but Long hit a runner in the lane with about 4 seconds left to win the OVC for them. Louisville is currently playing really well against Syracuse. Their defense is giving the Orange all sorts of trouble, but they are also struggling to score against 'Cuse's zone so despite how well they are playing defensively, they only have a 3 point lead after Sutherland just hit a 3 to make it a 15-12 Cardinal lead. This would really be a huge win for Lousiville. They are going to be in the tournament regardless, but this would be a great win for their resumé. Cuse is getting on a bit of a role right now, though. 5 straight points after the Fab Melo follow.
Built Ford Tough
Beautiful move in transition by Waiters. A nice hesitation move to his left to make the defender react and an picture perfect spin to his right to get by him for the layup. Syracuse with a 13-1 run, 7 of which have come in transition. Louisville needs to get back to taking care of the ball like they were earlier in the game because 'Cuse is feasting on this poor offensive execution. And as I type that, Melo gets another block that immediately leads to a layup on the other end. Then the Cards take a poor long range shot and 5 seconds later Southerland is at the free throw line. These final 4 minutes could easily decide the game. If Lousiville lets this lead get any more before the half, their chances of winning are very poor. Built Ford Tough
Louisville had 15 points in the first 10 minutes of the game. They finished the half with 19 points. Luckily for them they buckled down defensively and stopped turning the ball over to allow the Orange to get so many opportunities in transition. Their half court defense has been rock solid and they showed it again during those final 4 minutes. Their offense is just brutal right now. The game is still well in reach (26-19) but Lousiville must play better on offense if they are going to have any hope of pulling off the upset. Built Ford Tough
I don't understand why Kentucky keeps on picking up full court. The Gators have broke the press 3 straight times and it has lead to 3 straight wide open layups underneath the hoop. Beal has been breaking it like nothing. What is the most puzzling about this is that Kentucky has the best half court defense in the nation. Why do they feel the need to press when they are already up? Very weird coaching decision. Built Ford Tough
If Davis continues to hit that outside jumper, nobody is touching this team unless they have an off night in the tournament. That is 2 games in a row where he has knocked down a 3 and an 18 foot jumper as well. Luckily for the rest of the country, he is still not consistent with it. You can tell that he has the potential to be a solid shooter out there. He has nice form, arc and rotation on his shot, but he just isn't capable of hitting it on a consistent basis right now, but should be able to in the future. Built Ford Tough
Walker sucks. Can't make an entry pass to save his life, has terrible vision and is just a straight up chucker. He had a wide open Patric Young down low for a good 2 seconds before he even saw him and then turns the ball over trying to pass it to him when all he needed to do was make a simple bounce pass. Instead, he tried to lob it over Anthony Davis. If Florida wants to have a chance at winning this game, they need to take him off the ball and give it to Beal or Boynton. At least they are capable of finding the bigs off the roll or making an entry pass.
Built Ford Tough
Lol at Walker. Davis is caught on a switch, gambles on the pass and gets burned, but instead of attacking the open lane, he pulls up from 28 feet and throws up an absolute brick. Young has been killing it all game but once Walker become the primary ball handler, he hasn't even touched the ball in the post. That isn't to say he is completely to blame as Beal has been terrible shooting the ball and Boynton seems to not give a damn about this game after not starting, but he has been the biggest reason for Florida falling behind by double digits late here, after having cut the lead to 4. Built Ford Tough
Davis is so damn impressive. Blocks Beal's shot (and just catches it instead of swatting it), leads the break, makes a nice bounce pass to MKG and then finishes with a put back slam after the MKG miss to officially put an end to any chance of a comeback (although it was probably over before then anyways). 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for Davis. DunkinDerozan
I watched a lot of that florida and kentucky game. I can see what all the hype is about on Davis. He really excels at nearly every aspect of the game.
Built Ford Tough
Illinois St. will pretty much the ideal ending to the 1st half in this one. Creighton looked ready to take a double digit lead but Illionois St. goes on a great run in the final 3:11 seconds after the flagrant foul committed by Echenique (probably spelt wrong, but whatever) on Carmichael to take a 31-30 halftime lead. A lot of power conference bubble schools are probably not happy with the way this game is going. Teams like UCONN, NC State, Northwestern, Texas, etc... would definitely not want to see Illinois St. take this game as it would definitely decrease their chances of making the tournament. Creighton is going to be in regardless, but you have to think that Illionois St. needs to win the MVC Championship in order to make the tournament.
