Built Ford Tough
Awesome defense from Ekey on the McDermott post up. Didn't bite on any of the fakes and then blocked the shot. You really can't play him any better than that. EDIT: Now Ekey draws a charge on McDermott. He is playing fantastic defense to start this half. Built Ford Tough
Lmao. On that last sequence, I think every single player hit the deck at one point or another. You have got to love that kind of passion from players. Everybody really is leaving it on the floor in this game. Somebody will obviously lose this game, but it certainly won't be from a lack of effort.
Built Ford Tough
McDermott starting to take over and bring his team back into this, like a true star does. 23 points for him including 6 straight to tie the game up. Illinois St. needs to find a way to be able to slow him down if they want to win this game. Of course, that is much easier said than done. EDIT: My bad on the 6 straight. I guess he actually had 10 straight at the time, I just missed two baskets when switching to the Knicks/Celtics game. He has Creighton's last 12 points. Built Ford Tough
What a game. 6 lead changes in the last 2 minutes. Moore with a dirty pull up jumper and then McDermott comes down on the next possession and drains an NBA three like nothing. 31 points on 11/15 shooting for McDermott. He has put his team on his back ever since Illinois St. took that 8 point lead. 19 of his 31 have come in teh 2nd half, including 17 of the Jays last 21. Nasty. Built Ford Tough
Terrible foul by Moore. Absolutely brutal. After splitting a pair of free throws to make it a 2 point lead, Illinois St. drove to the basket and got a layup to tie the game. Then Moore fouled Gibbs at halfcourt and Gibbs knocked down a pair. Timeout Illinois St. 11.8 seconds left with them down 2. Do they go for the tie or the win? EDIT: And Moore goes coast to coast and finishes with the layup to tie the game. Creighton timeout with 6 seconds left. I'm thinking we are going to see a McDermott jumper for the win. With the way this game has gone, you can just feel it. Built Ford Tough
And they don't go to McDermott, instead opting to have Young drive into the paint. The shot didn't fall, nor did the tip in. OT for the MVC Championship. Couldn't have asked for more from this game.
Built Ford Tough
Illinois St. just simply ran out of gas in OT, which is to be expected after yesterdays intense game against Wichita St. and with how this game went down the stretch. A great effort, but Creighton was simply too good and took advantage of that in OT.

Built Ford Tough
St. Mary's played some awesome defense to end the 1st half. Gonzaga had 1 shot clock violation and 2 other possessions where the Zags were forced to throw up a poor shot to beat the buzzer. That defense allowed them to go on a 10-2 run to close the half and tie it up. Should be a great 2nd half.
Built Ford Tough
Pangos' shot has been completely off tonight. He is something like 2-14 after missing two jumpers there. Harris and Sacre played well, but it doesn't look like Gonzaga will be able to overcome Pangos' poor shooting as they are down 5 with 20 seconds left. Looks like St. Mary's will take the WCC Championship this season and make it 2 a piece for these two teams in the past 4 years.
Built Ford Tough
So, I take back what I said above. Down 5, Gonzaga gets a two. They then force a tie up on the inbound play with the possession arrow in their favour. They call a timeout and draw up a play, and Harris drains a 3 to tie the game and send it into overtime. Built Ford Tough
And now its over. Nice job of bouncing back from the late 4th collapse by St. Mary's to pick up the 4 point win in overtime.
Built Ford Tough
Yancy Gates scored Cincinnati's last 10 points of the 2nd half to spark an 11 point comeback for the Bearcats. In fact, Cincy actually took a two point lead but Porter drained a jumper from about 10 feet after a nice find from Sims to tie the game back up and send it into overtime. Built Ford Tough
Sims with the game tying layup as time expires to send it into a 2nd overtime. He has made great decisions on the Hoyas' final possession in both regulation and overtime to tie the game up.
Built Ford Tough
Wright hits a floater in the lane with 7.6 seconds left to give Cincy a 72-70 lead and Sims can't come through at the buzzer for the 3rd time as he misses a 3 as time expired to give Georgetown the win. Hell of a game.
Built Ford Tough
Oregon State just beat Washington in the Pac-10 tourny. They became the first 9 seed to ever beat the 1 seed in the Pac-10 tourny. Tony Wroten was awesome for Washington scoring a career high 29 points, which I also believe is a school record for a Washington freshman. However, he missed 4 straight free throws that would've given Washington the lead with under a minute left in the game after hitting 6 straight freebies prior to that. Very difficult final minute for him after a stellar game.
Built Ford Tough
Which PJ3 shows up against Kansas? The dominant, 31 point, 11 rebound on 11-14 shooting version we saw yesterday or the invisible version we saw for much of the final month of the season? Hopefully it is the former because I really want to see an epic battle between him and Thomas Robinson.
Built Ford Tough
Lame T on Walton there. Very, very weak call. Robinson off to a poor start. A forced shot over PJ3 that he missed, a pass thrown out of bounds and then an up and down violation. PS: Come on Brandon, where are you? The times I actually watch KU games and you are never online to post with me.
DunkinDerozan
A lot of good championship games today. FSU is outplaying UNC pretty heavily so far. They have a great defense. I might pick them to go a bit further than expected in the tournament this year.
