T-Mac joining the Bulls

Starts talking about the Bulls after 7 minute mark:

Waddle: Is there a fit for the Bulls at 2-guard?

SAS: "I don't see it. I'll tell you this, though, Ill give you some news right here - the minute this lockout ends Tracy McGrady is coming to Chicago. He will be a Chicago Bull. The minute this deal is done he will be a Chicago Bull, you can bet the house on that."

Waddle: Are you sure because they had the opportunity to sign him last year and passed?

SAS: "I'm telling you he's coming to Chicago. I'm telling you he's coming to Chicago. I mean Reinsdorf, Paxson and those boys can change their plan, can change their mind, but McGrady is planning on being in Chicago the minute this lockout is over. Is that good? It depends on how healthy he is. I'm hearing he's very healthy....Derrick Rose is not good. He's not great. He's sensational. He's the future of this league."

Got this off another forum. If this signify the lack of another 2-guard addition, I am disappointed.

If this is true I'm not really sure how this would work out for the Bulls. I think they have noting to lose in signing him since they have a hole a 2 gaurd to be addressed but if I was with the Bulls I would be looking at younger 2 gaurds to pair with D-Rose like Arron Afflalo. I think if T-Mac can stay healthy he can help them out alot but I would still keep my option open for other players.

T-Mac was never much of an off the ball player even in his prime and was basically useless in Detroit before the Pistons played him at the point (where he ended up playing pretty well).

Assuming this is true and he will end up in Chicago, what makes them think it is a good idea to put a player who needs the ball to be productive on a team with arguably the most ball dominant player in the league?

It seems like a great addition based on McGrady's name, but stylistically, I think it is an awful fit.

I wonder where that Point-forward guy is at these days lol

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how the Bulls would use him in their offense. This team was simply amazing on defense last year but on offense they seemed like they were just "watching the DRose show" at times . Maybe another offensive weapon could change that.
