AboveLegit
Would be a terrible move for Memphis. Gay is not the problem in Memphis, nor did him going down with an injury allow Memphis to "upset" the Spurs. That first round match up against San Antonio came at the perfect timing. Ginobili was banged up, and Duncan wasn't in his best form. After game 7 against the Thunder, I remember hearing a lot of people saying if Memphis had Rudy, they would have won the series. Fact is, that roster is set to make the playoffs, but there's always going to be a need for that wing scorer like Rudy Gay. He had a career year before being hit with the injury, you don't trade a player like that.
Legacy
I loved that trade we could have done a season back where it was Mayo, fillers, and a draft pick for Monta but the Warriors were too stupid to pull the trigger. I would much rather have that than a Ellis for Gay straight up.
