magicbalala245
D-Will says he talks to Dwight often & says that's the one guy he'd love to play with, but doesn't know what Dwight's going to do. Let's connect the dots. If Barnes said he talked to Dwight and said he wants to be a Laker and Deron did also but said he doesn't know what Dwight is gonna do is it safe to assume the phone conversation with Dwight reveled that Dwight won't be heading to Brooklyn and that is why Deron is opting out? Or am I reading too much into this?

Deron is opting out because it makes sense for him to opt out with the new CBA. https://twitter.com/#!/DeronWilliams/status/142336840505106432 https://twitter.com/#!/DeronWilliams/status/143073055948816384
Teletopez
Haha, that wasn't the only thing he said today. NEW YORK (WFAN) – Deron Williams is going to opt out of his contract with New Jersey after the 2011-12 season. That much we know. But will he be “Bound for Brooklyn” with the franchise once the dust in free agency settles? It sounds like he’s leaning that way. Williams told WFAN’s Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on Monday that there’s a “90 percent” chance he re-signs with the Nets. “My plan is to stay,” Williams said. “I think we’re gonna get players. I think guys are gonna want to come play in Brooklyn and play with me.”CBS NY
Guru
Nets have emerged as No. 1 choice for Dwight Howard, multiple sources say. D12 is expected to ask Magic to trade him to NJ. Hmmmm..
AboveLegit
Yeah this makes Dwight to Brooklyn very realistic now. Initially I thought an offer of Lopez and picks wouldn't suffice, but clearly given what went down with CP3, it is. I expect this to go down in the next day or two.
