magicbalala245
The Lakers, Clippers, Warriors and Celtics currently have a leg up on other teams that are trying to acquire Paul. Yahoo! Sports had reported earlier Tuesday that the Clippers, Warriors and Celtics had the three best offers on the table for Paul. The Lakers' potential offer would send either center Andrew Bynum or forward Pau Gasol along with forward Lamar Odom to the Hornets for Paul. I would think Lakers are first offering in my opinion a Pau + Odom deal for Chris Paul as they are swinging for the fences and then will have Bynum and package him with another player to land Dwight Howard. Lol of course that would be their first offer.
Flash
If I'm NO there's no way I take back Gasol in that deal. I'd want young players to build with but that's just me.

Dash
First I've heard of the Lakers being a top player for Chris Paul, every report from Woj indicates that there has little movement up in their front. That said, there is no way the Hornets take Gasol + Odom over the Celtics', Warriors' or Clippers' offers. No Bynum, no deal.
Check my Stats
Honestly, if LA gets either CP3 or D12, it is because the player forced their way there, and that is just pathetic. When teams like LAC and GSW are shopping pieces like Curry and the Wolves pick, and CP3 or D12 are dealt for the pieces LA had, which are extremely mediocre for a team who needs to blow it up, something is plainly wrong. Still not sold that Gordon can't eventually be had for CP3. If NO is asking for Gordon and the Wolves pick, they simply need to smarten up, that is outrageous.

Too bad the Warriors aren't offering Curry and the Clippers aren't offering Gordon either. Only way they offered them regarding the Warriors and Clippers is that they both said they need CP3 for a fact will sign that extension. Other then that I don't know where CP3 will end up. Sources said that the Hornets have actually been trying to convince the Warriors to part with Curry since before last season's trade deadline in February. But the Warriors could only stomach the inclusion of Curry if they knew Paul would extend his contract as part of the trade or at least commit to invoking his option for the 2012-13 season. Golden State has still received no such promises. One source close to the process told ESPN.com that talks with the Warriors are "definitely cooling" because of Golden State's unwillingness to include Curry in the deal. The Clippers, meanwhile, have been aggressive in their pursuit of Paul, but sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne that neither Gordon nor restricted free agent center DeAndre Jordan have been offered to New Orleans. Said one source close to the situation of Gordon's inclusion: "That's a deal-breaker (for the Clippers)." So what the hell are Clippers and the Warriors offering if they aren't even on the table? Flash
I have a hard time seeing CP3 in LA. The NBA owns the Hornets, you think they're gonna give up CP3 now for Pau after all the stuff that fueled the lockout from the small market teams? I don't think so. If the Clippers had any sort of brain they'd ship off Gordon the second CP3 says he'll sign an extension.

I understand LA's reluctance to trade Eric Gordon, he could very well be a top 3 SG by next season. Gordon has always been an efficient scorer, but last year he put up great numbers on an increased workload. But if you want a great PG like CP3, you need to give up a valuable asset like Eric.
