The root of it on the Nets side, according to two sources, is alleged meeting between Dwight and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov on Thursday.

Does anyone know if the Nets screwed themselves over?

If these tampering charges are true the Nets have [expletive]ed themselves over for Dwight Howard.

Explain please. New Jersey screwed themselves over by not getting Dwight with these tampering charges and now Dwight could be dealt elsewhere.

Because NJ was the best deal on the table and was willing to take back Hedo.

Awful GM's gonna GM.

The root of the Rockets' potential claim, according to a source, is an alleged meeting with Houston coach Kevin McHale this week.

First off, nobody knows if the deal is off. Secondly, the package for Dwight was great. Getting a 23 year old center to team up with his close friend Anderson, along with first round picks in an era of basketball dominated by super teams.

Personally I can't even see Nets winning it all with the Dwight in the lineup. Of course the lineup would be different and we'd be a playoff team but at the end of the day, Magic lose Dwight no matter what by the looks of it.
