Built Ford Tough
Chris Wilcox has signed a one-year deal with the Celtics for the veteran minimum. Wilcox will add depth to the Boston frontcourt. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/217282/Wilcox_Signs_With_Celtics#ixzz1g5gIe2Iw Jeff Green will sign a one-year deal with the Celtics. Doc Rivers is unsure if it is for the qualifying offer, which was for approximately $5.9 million. Green was acquired at the 2011 trade deadline. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/217283/Jeff_Green_To_Sign_One_Year_Deal_With_Celtics#ixzz1g5gPlsQH That Perkins trade is looking worse by the minute. The Celtics think so little of Green that they aren't even going to give him a long term extension, and he will likely leave as a UFA next season. Oh well, they replaced Perkins with Wilcox at least. Newman
^Strange how they overpay him, yet only for one year.
ChosenOne
^Strange how they overpay him, yet only for one year. Was thinking the same thing. I can get signing him for one year but overpaying him after his poor play in Boston is surprising.
Check my Stats
How did Green play poorly in Boston? From what I can tell, he played pretty similar, actually possibly more efficiently in Boston. His role will continue to increase, he is a solid player if you take him for what he is, and that is a very solid 4th or 5th starter/6th man.
