Newman
Awesome. I can't wait to see Rip running off curls.
Doc
Yes! Once I heard Rip was getting cut, the Bulls was the first place I thought of. This could be the finalpiece they need.
NomarFachix
Meh they still need someone who can create their own shot on offense. Not a bad deal, though.
Built Ford Tough
Terms are 3 years, $15M, in case anybody was wondering. I'm honestly not sure how valuable he will be to the Bulls. I realize that on paper he is a very good fit at the 2 guard spot, but no matter how well he is at running his man off screens, using cuts and curls, etc.. but you also have to have an effective playmaker to get him the ball. For all the strides Rose took last season, he still didn't really impress me much from a playmaking standard. He still picks and chooses when he wants to attack and when he wants to pass too often for my liking. He still needs to do a better job of simply taking what the defense gives him. Even with that said, I like the signing for the Bulls. Hamilton isn't the player he once was both offensively and defensively, but he can still contribute when he just plays ball and doesn't worry about any other crap. There aren't really any other better options out there, aside from maybe a Jamal Crawford, but that didn't seem all that much of a possibility anyways. Owner Real Deal Posted December 15, 2011 Owner Report Share Posted December 15, 2011 Did Chicago actually go after anyone else? If so, that news must have slipped past me. You'd think Thibodeau would try and acquire Afflalo, even using a sign-and-trade, or Nick Young. I mean, I like Rip. He's one of the best off-the-ball players I've ever seen, along with Reggie and Ray. However, if they were looking in that direction, why not Young? Would the Wizards want anyone from Chicago? I guess this will definitely force Rose to become a better playmaker...could help him out in that regard, too. Hamilton is an easy find on the court, and with Rose being able to break down a defense, and Hamilton causing a lot of confusion off of those screens, it'll be interesting how teams approach this. ChosenOne
Biggest signing of the offseason IMO. They filled the only position that they were lacking by adding a very solid player. RoseRipDengBoozerNoah Thats a great starting line up. Check my Stats
Rose better work on his stand still catch and shoot game lol.
Newman
I believed we tried a S&T for Afflalo, but clearly he was out of the price range. Nick Young can't play D up to Thibodeau's standards yet, so I don't think we pursued him seriously.
headliner
This is a great signing by the Bulls. Richard Hamilton will make the opposition run through screens and make them work. It also gives Rose that score help that they lacked on the wing. Richard is a good defensive player and has won a tile in the past so his experience will prove to be vital to the Bulls team. The Regime
Korver is tough enough to stay up with as it is, but now you have Rip coming off those curles. On paper this looks like a really good fit, question is whether Rip still has some game left in him.
