ChosenOne
Im taking that the starting line up is going to look something like this: Mike BibbyLandry FieldsCarmelo AnthonyAmar'e StoudemireTyson Chandler Are the Knicks strong enough to take the East? If not who's better?
NomarFachix
Toney Douglas will start at point.
Newman
I still think they are at best a 4th seed at the moment. The bench is weak and the same can be said for the backcourt. I also don't believe Chandler alone can make the team play good defense all of a sudden. At Dallas he had a defensive-oriented coach in Rick Carlisle and veterans who were willing to play defense. I am not sure that is the case in New York. I still think that the Bulls, Heat, Celtics and possibly the Hawks are better than New York at the moment. Flash
I think they have a shot to win the division with Chandler but their backcourt is a HUGE question and in the East teams will take advantage of that big time.
NomarFachix
Mike Woodson is going to pound defense into the club, he already has been. Very vocal in practices, split sessions with Woodson on D and D'Antoni on offense. Chandler makes the defense MUCH better, and Shumpert doesn't hurt either. Bench is most certainly weak. Spent too much time chasing Jamal.
fish7718
We need to get Baron and Bogans before we start taking this team as a serious contender but right now they can grab a home seed.

JYD
We need to get Baron and Bogans before we start taking this team as a serious contender but right now they can grab a home seed.Baron is wack, he can't even play for probably 2 months. Can't see him fitting in to D'Antoni's push it style offense either, with a bad back and being 20 lbs over weight lol. You mention Bogans...hmm...I'd like that signing. Very good defensively, can hit the open 3. That'd be nice. Right now I say the Knicks will finish 4th or 5th in the East. I think they'll be a tough out in the playoffs though, Probably get to the 2nd round but no further.
ChosenOne
IMO if the Knicks need guard help big time. Douglas and Fields just aint gonna cut it against duos like Rose/Rip, Rondo/Allen, Chalmers/Wade, and Hinrich/Johnson. If they can address that point guard issue this team would dramatically improve. TheNotoriousBANG
the signing of mike bibby just set your guys backthat man is god awful (now, he was good before) anyone notice how him and peja were both playing in the beginning of the finalsbut by game 6 they both played themselves out of a rotation 0 mins Bibby is a curse on any team contending, you will make the play-offs but mark my words Bibby is like a bambino curse.
