fish7718
Iman Shumpert lookin good funny we draft these defensive specialist guards like Douglas and Shumpert and you think they can't play offense and they come out looking like gunners. Don't know if this is him or just having a good day but I like so far. Defense looked great times looked horrific at others, Melo as well, preseason ball can't take much from it, just nice to be able to kick back and watch some ball. fish7718
First half impressions Toney Douglas - er very unimpressive, looked lost at times in offense, taken some pretty bad 3's defense has looked sub parMike Bibby - Good both passing and shooting, average DLandry Fields - Decent, looked bad on D a few times, and looked bad on offense a few times but I like that he has confidence to find his own shot hopefully it developsIman Shumpert - Great, despite getting a bit trigger happy at times he has 2 of our 3 3's has played great D and he made one beautiful pass to Balkman cutting back doorCarmelo - Very unimpressive, made dumb plays on D end and on offense put up a few airballs, still he's Melo so he's leading game in scoring but he's off today, passing wise he's seemed a little more generous despite taking 9 shotsBalkman - Wow would have been excellent had he not got blocked on that one shot, can't believe he actually put the ball on the ground and got his own shotAmar'e - Terrible, worst on team, getting beat on defense and his offense looks bad, he had a time where he had damion james guarding him on the block and he took some type of step back pretty frustrating...Jeffries - is jeffriesChandler - Okay, I like the guy I admit it, he's made Brook Lopez look bad today and that's not easy, Chandler is a stud on DHarrelson - Very impressive for a 2nd rounder, my jaw dropped when he sunk that 3, then he put a move on shelden and sank a nice mid range shot, maybe Shawne won't be missed that much... Guru
Yeah Amare just looks out of it this game. Melo picked up his play as the game progressed though. The Nets look better on the offensive side of the ball for sure. Lopez has been pretty impressive so far as well. He has a lot to prove this season so I look for him to continue to play fairly well. Morrow looks great as well. Not impressed at all with Petro but not surprised either lol. I want to see Brooks and Horner to get more time here in the 2nd half. fish7718
So annoying that I have to watch the Nets broadcast the Knicks one is blacked out here, not that I don't like the Nets announcing team or Yes's broadcast, I just keep the scoop on the Nets players not the Knicks players and I've seen about 20 shots of Avery Johnson, 1 shot of D'antoni, I live in NY I should get the Knicks broadcast

NomarFachix
We might not miss Shawne, but it won't be because of Harrellsen. He's got decent range, but won't knock down 3's with regularity.
Teletopez
Give Dennis Horner a contract. Judging by what was seen today, he is a much, much better option than Petro. Both draft picks were impressive. We didn't see much of MarShon, but his jumper looked great. His defense needs a lot of work, though. David Diamante, new PA announcer: It's great to have basketball back. Edited December 18, 2011 by Brooklyn Bound
