magicbalala245
Celtics managing partner Wyc Grousbeck believes that the team is "hands down" the favorites in the Eastern Conference next season. "I think we should be the favorites in the conference, hands down," Grousbeck told CBS Sports on Tuesday. "And we're going to start proving that Oct. 27." Boston will open up the 2009-10 season against Cleveland, with a healthy Kevin Garnett and the newly-acquired Rasheed Wallace. "I personally recruited him with five others guys," Grousbeck said of Wallace. "My guys lobbied us for the signing because the players who’ve played the game for 10 years at a high level, they know who can help them and what they can do. They know the score. Rasheed was everybody’s first choice: ownership, general manager, and players. We all wanted to have him as a first choice, and we got him." Cleveland's Finest
Wow...hands down is a stretch. They have one of the oldest teams therefore adding to the injury risks. They still don't have a true backup PG. They are easily in the top 3 East with Orlando and Cleveland. But what makes them hands down clear cut victors of the East? Just because 3 veteran allstars recruit Rasheed, it doesn't mean that it's one of the greatest moments ever and will propel them to a title. They're better on defense, they are experienced, and barring no injuries, they have the best team.

Celtics3420
It's quite possible that we are better than the 08 squad with the addition of Sheed/Marquise. I don't see how it's a stretch. Barring any injuries/setbacks on KG, we are the best team in the East.
