Built Ford Tough
Rubio and Williams seem to have some great chemistry together. I haven't watched a lot of Wolves games, but every game I have watched it seems like Rubio hooks him up with at least 2 easy baskets. Just right now he gave him a perfect lob pass and then the next trip got him 2 free throws.
AboveLegit
Would like to see Williams attack the basket more, seems like he shies away from it a lot. Definitely didn't see this being a problem for him early on.
Built Ford Tough
Would like to see Williams attack the basket more, seems like he shies away from it a lot. Definitely didn't see this being a problem for him early on. Part of the problem is that he doesn't have the handle or the quickness to get by many small forwards so he has to rely on his teammates and cuts to get him looks. That was a really nice backdoor cut by Mayo and a great pass from Gasol for that And 1 about a minute ago.
Built Ford Tough
Tony Allen - 18 points, 4 rebounds on 8-8 shooting and has held Beasley to 4-14 shooting (not that he has been the only one to guard him, but he has been on him for most of the 4th). He is playing some ridiculously good basketball lately.
Dash
I have yet to see a "bad" Timberwolves game so far in the season.

Built Ford Tough
Nice decision by Adelman to not call the timeout. When you need a three, I don't understand why more teams don't let their players bring the ball up the court as it makes it so much easier to get a look as opposed to calling a timeout and allowing the defense to set up. Dash
3 point game, 15 seconds to go. Who does Adelman go to? Love for 3?
Dash
Crap. Wolves need to foul quickly, do they have another timeout left?
Built Ford Tough
Wolves run the exact same play as before and Rubio almost ends up with another wide open three. Luckily for Memphis, Conley recovered just in time to prevent Rubio from getting the open look. That was a real ballsy pass from Rubio to Love, too. Rubio definitely isn't afraid to make big plays, that is for sure.
Built Ford Tough
Crap. Wolves need to foul quickly, do they have another timeout left? Yes. They have one left, which is another reason why I liked Adelman's decision to not call a timeout on the past two Wolves possessions.
Dash
Apparently they do. 2 seconds to go and they're down 3 again.
Dash
And that is the game right there. Memphis fouled on the final possession preventing Minnesota from getting off a three pointer.
fish7718
Sucks ridnour couldn't keep his feet behind the line, fun game. Rubio is a baller really stepped up and knocked down that big 3 like it was nothing. They said Rubio couldn't shoot, he looks like a shooter to me lol
Owner Real Deal Posted January 5, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 5, 2012 Ricky Rubio is just having fun out there...you can see it. Not that he isn't trying as hard as he can, but he's very comfortable, and that's not really a surprise if you consider all of the pro games he has played outside of the NBA. Mentioned him in the last game topic, so I'll do it again: TONY ALLEN. Defensively, he kind of reminds me of a young Ron Artest.
fish7718
Yeah Rubio been playing with dudes like this since he was 16, it looks like coming to NBA just helped him more as the court opens up a lot more.
