Owner Real Deal Posted January 15, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 15, 2012 It was 56-52 at the end of the third, before Rose took over the game (reminds me of their last game against Boston, when he took over the fourth after the Celts decided to climb back into it). Noticed that James Johnson was dead set on killing his former team, right before that ankle sprain. It's funny how guys suit up and look to go off for these type of games. Rose shot poorly...gotta give credit to the best defensive PG in the NBA...the Matador, Jose Calderon.
Gooner
Bulls looked like they were running through mud the whole game. 7 games in 9 days will do that, though. 2 games left to finish of this brutal stretch of 9 games in 12 days. Still, holding opponents to 67 ppg at home.

Built Ford Tough
Rose shot poorly...gotta give credit to the best defensive PG in the NBA...the Matador, Jose Calderon. It is actually "El Matador", thank you very much. Still, holding opponents to 67 ppg at home. Can't really use that as an excuse when the Raptors were playing their 7th game in 9 nights as well. The Bulls just looked disinterested out there. Some of it may have been due to fatigue, but most of it seemed like they thought that they could just coast to an easy win, esepcially after getting that early 21-8 lead or whatever it was. They saw a 4-8 team without their best player and backup point guard (who also happens to be the 2nd best player on the team at creating offense) coming into town and figured it would be an easy win, which it was. The Bulls really only showed up for about 10-12 minutes and it was still enough to get an easy win.

It's not like I accused the Raptors of playing good basketball. Both teams were terrible. Luckily for the Bulls they bring great defense most nights which can be enough to win games. There's been so much terrible basketball around the whole league this season. It's painful to watch at times.
Pound the Rock
Such a flat game to watch. Even though Raptors were hanging around with the Bulls by half it really looked like the Raps were trying hard to score while the Bulls were just playing extremely relaxed (compared to what i saw Friday vs Boston). Expected the Bulls to turn it on near the end of the game just enough to close it out. With the circumstances I can't blame the Raps though, they battled.
