This team is bad. Major problems. Their role players are HORRIBLE, their backcourt play is probably the worst I've seen out of a professional team. And their defensive schemes...Don't even get me started.

Beginning to think Amare/Melo isn't a good combo...had too high expectations of them, picking them as champs...yikes my bad.

Well, that was just stupid.

I never thought this was a championship team, but I did think they were a 4-5 team in the East. I'm starting to think they may not make the playoffs.

Plenty of time to turn it around, absolutely, but this team has so many major flaws. They consistently can't score. Lol.

Amar'e needs to stop dominating the ball (he has absolutely no moves to the basket out of his faceup, and instead tries to bullrush and force shots to draw fouls.. only he isn't getting them called). He needs to play down low, slash to the basket, pick & roll, move the ball, and shoot if he's open. Newsflash, big guy.. what you've been doing hasn't worked, at all. Your iso plays have been killing us. Adjust.

Melo, if you're off.. pass the ball. Wrist hurts? Pass the ball. Double teamed with an open teammate? ..pass the ball.

This double iso bullshit doesn't work when neither of you are capable of scoring efficiently. The offense worked best tonight when there was a lot of movement and passing. Then, one of the two head honchos would take the ball, hold it for 10 seconds, make an ineffective move, and brick a jumper that sent Phoenix on a fast break in the other direction. Really, really tired of the nonsense. As Alan Hahn put it, the Knicks are a race car without a steering wheel or a driver.

When I have wet dreams at night, they're centered around James Dolan staying the [expletive] out of Donnie Walsh's way last season and allowing the guy to do his job. This is a mess.

That's the issue...who's going to run the PnR with him? Shumpert is constantly thinking shoot-first, as is Douglas, as is Melo. Fields doesn't have the vision or ability to make it work, either. Without a good, willing passer, Amare iso's is what you'll constantly get. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't gain 20+ pounds in the offseason, which I knew from the first preseason game against the Nets was a bad idea, especially since he moved back over to PF. Now he is lacking the quickness to get past defenders, and his shooting has been the worse I've seen it since 04-05. Overall, it's an ugly combo and he's just looked awful this season.
