Built Ford Tough
No Hawes or Vucevic for the Sixers again tonight. Luckily for the Sixers they are entering into a very, very soft part of their schedule so they likely can still pick up wins without either one of their two best centers. Teletopez
Deron is wearing the headband today. It probably has something to do with this commercial being shown yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpp7c7xhNhQ&feature=youtu.be
Phightins
Sixers were absolutely dreadful that half, yet are still up 2. The absence of Hawes is as visible tonight as ever.
Phightins
Wow. So, Thad hurt himself a bit earlier and had to go to the locker room. And Elton is sitting on 5 fouls. With Hawes and Vucevic out and Battie probably worn down already, Lavoy Allen was playing center for a while. That, uh, did not go well. Jodie was the 3 and Andre was the 4. Talk about a small lineup.

Phightins
Horrendous loss. Guess these are bound to happen from time to time though. Whatever. Spencer, we need you back ASAP.
Guru
You can tell how much the Sixers missed Hawes on the glass. It is nice to see Deron have a great game for us though. I hope this game can improve our morale going forward. Edited January 26, 2012 by Guru

I hope this game can improve our morale going forward. It wasn't even just Hawes, but Vucevic as well. The Sixers have nice depth, but I don't know many teams that are able to withstand losing both of their rotation centers and having your only other legit big in foul trouble. Nice win for the Nets, though. Regardless of the injury problems the Sixers have, they did still beat the Wizards by 20 the previous night so its not like they haven't proven to be able to compete despite their hurting rosters. These are the kinds of games that the Nets need to take advantage.
