Built Ford Tough
Bad foul by Fisher. Should have just let Jordan finish it and not fouled. There was no way he was preventing that dunk from DJ.

Built Ford Tough
Now Metta blocks CP3's shot out of bounds and stands over him. Guy is going nuts in the last 4 minutes. He has done a little bit of everything.

Built Ford Tough
Boneheaded move from Griffin. He steps back to make his shot a three and ends up stepping out of bounds. Costly mistake. Why is he even trying to take a step back three anyways? Has he even made a three this season? How many has he made in his career?

Built Ford Tough
Ballsy pass by Kobe when you consider how many poor passes he has thrown in the 2nd half that have led to turnovers. Nice finish by Bynum and an even bigger block on the other end.
Built Ford Tough
Terrible execution from the Clippers out of the timeout. Turnover and now the Lakers will ice the game at the line.
AboveLegit
Vinny Del Negro is a God awful head coach. I feel like he runs the same play over and over in clutch situations.

He ran it again, and, whattayaknow, it didn't work again. Although this time Griffin said [expletive] it and went to the basket.

Owner Real Deal Posted January 26, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 When Ron steps up (better late than never) and we have at least one bench player doing SOMETHING, we have a shot. Helped that Gasol did his thing out there, tried getting to the rim more, getting more involved in the offense, instead of standing there and taking 16-footers. There are still big problems with our offense, though...but I'm hoping these problems will be resolved before March, because we can't settle for a bottom four seed. Lemon
Thank goodness. If there was a win that we absolutely needed this season, this was it. Even if both Billups and CP3 played poorly, we would have imploded with a loss. Goudelock showed that he's been working on his game. His defense needs work, but in our messed up offense, he's more valuable than Darius Morris. He also showed what we've been missing with Steve Blake - a useful playmaker off the bench. With our makeup, we're in a big need for playmakers especially from the bench. Kapono and Murphy are the same player - players that can shoot, and that's it. McRoberts and Barnes are also the same player. And you can't really count on MWP. This game showed what we can build on offensively, and the answer comes and will always come back to having Pau be more active. That is and will always be on Pau. Nitro
Vinny Del Negro is a God awful head coach. I feel like he runs the same play over and over in clutch situations. As I said in my first post of the season, he's the only thing that could keep the Clippers being a serious threat in the WC playoffs. Besides a legit starting SG and maybe some added depth in the frontcourt, on paper the Clippers have a very talented roster with a great mixture of youth/vets whose talents really compliment each other. If they don't make a big splash Del Negro needs to get the axe, which is why I feel will probably end up happening. I thought he did a good job of developing the youth in Chicago and LA, but in terms of getting his team to execute he falls short.

Built Ford Tough
lol @ Pau channeling his inner KG and trying the opposing PG. That was all Paul. He took a swipe at the ball after the whistle. Pau starts a little friendly trash talk (you can tell with how he was smirking and laughing) with him, Paul gets pissed off and starts getting pissed so Pau jokes around more by patting him on the head. Paul gets even more pissed and takes exception. I honestly see nothing wrong with what Pau did. Paul was just pissed about the score and his team losing and ended up taking exception to it. Just look at Kobe's reaction as well. Him and Billups were doing the same thing back and forth all game long.
Flash
Didn't Pau bump Paul after the game though and point at him when the teams were walking off the floor?
Built Ford Tough
Didn't Pau bump Paul after the game though and point at him when the teams were walking off the floor? It looked to me that Paul was the one who initiated again. He started walking back towards Pau and started yapping at him again. I could be wrong, but to me it looked like Paul was the one who initated everything. I like Paul (could do without the excessive flopping) but the guy has always been a sore loser dating all the way back to his days at Wake. With what we know about Pau and Paul, if I had to guess one way or the other, I'd lean towards Paul initating in that situation. I could be wrong, though, since it was kind of in the corner of the screen and I watched it on my laptop.

Built Ford Tough
Ok, so Pau initiated the bump. I'll give you that. The whole thing would've been avoided if it wasn't for Paul starting it prior to the free throws, though. Its not like Pau just went out of his way and went after Paul out of the blue. You can see Paul yapping at Pau before the bump as well. He should've just walked away, though. The Lakers won and he had a great game.
