"One, one thousand."

"Two, one thousand."

"Three, one thousand."

"Four, one thousand."

"Five, one thousand."

"Yep, he got it, right there."

What can I say, they are huge homers, but I still love them, especially Armstrong.

Also, to be fair, Casey did call a timeout from the sideline before the 5 second count but I guess the ref didn't hear him. I'm not complaining, though.

I don't know, dude. I used my iPhone stop clock on the replay, just for fun, and I hit 5.4 seconds when he called it. I was going to try and put a timer on the video clip, but it's not doing what I want right now...and I suck at anything video-related (editing and such).

Take away the 5 second count for a second and just go based on your experience of watching basketball games.

How many times is the timeout rewarded there and how many times is a 5 second count called when the play is that close? I'd say that the timeout is given about 90-95% of the time.

If you want to get really technical I guess it might've been the volation, I'm not sure as I didn't actually look for myself, nor do I care to, but throughout the course of the league, that is called very, very rarely.

Oh yeah, I mean, I've seen teams get away with it before. Even the Lakers.

You have to start wondering if the referee wasn't paid $10 or so, by Sgt. Rasual Butler, to call that violation.

Some decent stuff on Twitter after this game. Butler getting torn to shreds.

kuyaBRIAN_ Frigillana, Brian.

Rasual Butler was signed to bring a veteran presence to the Raps. He just showed us how not to inbound a ball & lose a game. Thank you.

Mike Brown's like, "I'll see your Rasual Butler hasn't played yet, Dwayne, and raise you a Jason Kapono." AK

Not only was that play horrible, but you had Rasual Butler inboudnign the ball. What was the logic in that, exactly?

Ʀichard XLεиt @RichardXLent

If I see Rasual Butler, I will slap the **** out of him.

Rasual Butler is one of the only guys in the NBA that can register a DNP and still cost his team the game.

Ben Joseph @Benaconda

in the future, instead of waving a white flag, people will wave Rasual Butler's uniform. #raptors #tanksforthememories

The last two are my favourites.

I went to the box score, and yeah, it does actually 'say' that Rasual Butler didn't play. Obviously it's a huge contradiction. Since he did commit a turnover, isn't it right he got listed on the box score like 0:01 of PT? I mean, you gotta register that TO somewhere....

The turnover is credited as a team turnover on a 5 second count, not an individual one.

What is true is that he didn't "technically" have a DNP-CD since he did come in and commit a foul on Kobe after the inbound. Since he played less than 1 second (took 0.5 to foul) he isn't credited with having played because you need to record at least a second of playing time in order to be considered to have played in the game.

For all intensive purposes, he was a DNP-CD, though.
