Paul was trying to sprint to the backcourt with the idea that Gomes would wait til he got there and then pass it... the fool passed it way to soon while Paul was basically running full speed at the mid courtline. Obviously once Paul touched it in the front court he could not go into the backcourt. It's completely Gomes' fault.
