Sħãlïq™
The Lakers (34-20) have won 11 of 15 and lead the division by 1 1/2 games over the Clippers (32-21). However, the Clippers are mounting a run at their much more heralded co-tenant, winning six in a row for their longest streak since March 18-31, 1992.They also put together an eight-game run that season from Nov. 30-Dec. 15, 1991.Getting closer to that mark will require winning the season series from the Lakers for the first time since 1992-93.http://www.nba.com/games/20120404/LALLAC/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp0021100810

Built Ford Tough
Love the 1st half Kobe played. He really should spend the vast majority of the time in the post on offense. He is so effective there, even if he isn't scoring and just getting teammates looks. Tonight he is doing both very well with 18 points and 5 assists on 8-of-11 shooting. Butler is doing all he can to keep the Clippers in the game. If it wasn't for him having his best half in a long time, this game could easily be a 15+ point lead for the Lakers. Built Ford Tough
Nasty slam by Griffin. Should've been an offensive foul, though, as he cleared out Gasol with a forearm shive to the face, lol.
Flash
Lmao I hate Griffin but those were NASTY.
Built Ford Tough
Blake shoves Gasol from behind on the fast break dunk attempt. That matchup is getting heated as Gasol was not a fan of that play by Griffin, and I can't blame him.

NomarFachix
So.. how long until Blake starts getting called for smashing/holding players down with his off-hand on dunks?
Owner Real Deal Posted April 5, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Clips just had an 8-0 run, Kobe on the bench. Damn man, I hate our second unit.

Built Ford Tough
So.. how long until Blake starts getting called for smashing/holding players down with his off-hand on dunks? Never. He'll be able to get away with it his whole career. Why do the Lakers keep on switching all these screens? I may be crazy, but you would think that you wouldn't want Bynum or Gasol guarding Paul on the perimeter.
Built Ford Tough
Lol. Jordan trying to guard Bynum is awesome. Guy is completely helpless.

Owner Real Deal Posted April 5, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Kobe has been a beast shooting clutch shots these last three games. Lakers still running LA.
Built Ford Tough
Artest is pretty much a trainwreck offensively, but man, he is still a hell of a defender. His hands are so quick. Fun game but it really shouldn't have been that close. I thought the Lakers were clearly the better team for basically the entire game. Owner Real Deal Posted April 5, 2012 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 5, 2012 Fun game but it really shouldn't have been that close. I thought the Lakers were clearly the better team for basically the entire game. The second unit is just pathetic. Brown's rotations aren't that great, either. Mike said he was going to try and get Kobe rest from now up until the end of the regular season, so a lot of the Lakers fans expected this tonight. I guess Caron gets credit for keeping them in the game, for most of it. He was hitting heavily-defended shots, and open shots, all game long...didn't matter who was on him, he was catching fire. He was hitting heavily-defended shots, and open shots, all game long...didn't matter who was on him, he was catching fire. I actually didn't even notice him during the 2nd half of the game. I thought the Lakers did a great job of taking him out of his rhytym after doing a pretty poor job on him in the 1st half. The defensive adjustments that they made on him in the 2nd half really were huge since he was literally the only reason why the Clippers were in the game after the first 24 minutes. The defensive adjustments that they made on him in the 2nd half really were huge since he was literally the only reason why the Clippers were in the game after the first 24 minutes.Yeah, just realized he didn't score much in that second half. Sure the hell seemed like it...I was still steaming over what he was doing earlier. Still think it was absolutely foolish to switch on nearly every single screen the Clippers set. You can get away with that against the lesser-talented guards, but CP3 will eat bigs alive. The Lakers should know better. I noticed on the last two, Ron didn't make the switch...did his best to stay with CP3, and while Paul dropped that easy bucket on him near the end, I was far more comfortable seeing Ron on him, rather than Drew and Gasol being pulled away from the rim. I'm going to guess that's all on Mike Brown, though, because he used to do that in Cleveland, with Big Z and Varejao.
