Chris Paul had 24 points, including the game-winner with 3.2 seconds left, as the Clippers beat the 76ers 78-77 in Philadelphia on Friday night. Blake Griffin scored 16 with 11 rebounds and Mo Williams added 14 points off the bench. The Clippers play Charlotte on Saturday.

Wearing their ABA Hardwood Classics uniforms, the Clippers took down the Bobcats 111-86 in Charlotte on Saturday night. Chris Paul led the way with 18 points and 14 assists while both Blake Griffin (21 points, 10 rebounds) and DeAndre Jordan (11 points, 12 boards) added double-doubles

Griffin leads the NBA with 70 dunks this year.

Caron Butler (23 points, eight rebounds) and the Clippers finished their six-game road trip on a sour note as they lost in Dallas 96-92 to the Mavericks on Monday night. Blake Griffin tallied 20 points and seven boards while Chris Paul scored 16 and dished out nine dimes.

Blake Griffin netted 21 points and 14 rebounds as the Clippers rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat the Trail Blazers 74-71 at the Rose Garden on Thursday night. Mo Williams added 17 points and six rebounds while Chris Paul scored all of his 13 points in the fourth quarter.

In an epic showdown the Clippers fell 103-100 in overtime to the Spurs on Saturday afternoon. Griffin led LA with 22 points and 20 rebounds. Chris Paul and Randy Foye scored 21 points apiece. Paul made all eight of his foul shots and handed out six assists.

LOS ANGELES–Blake Griffin certainly would have preferred the win-loss column next to his first career 20-point, 20-rebound game to be etched with a W. It’s telling that despite being asked a number of questions after the Clippers’ wild three-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs, no one asked Griffin about his stats, career day or not. That’s because everyone knew the answer: his 22 points and 20 rebounds mattered none without a win. In Griffin’s 111 career games, the two-time All-Star has never wavered from his obsessive desire to win. You can see it in the near compulsiveness in which he works on jumpers from the perimeter or his sometimes wayward free throw shooting or when he walked to bench after fouling out Saturday, stewing with frustration as his team was eight seconds away from its tenth loss.

 

“It’s tough. You don’t want to lose at all, but to lose like that hurts,” Griffin said. “On the positive side we should’ve won. In our eyes we should have won.”

 

Prior to the game Spurs head coach Greg Popovich was asked about how to defend Griffin. The four-time NBA champion coach paused and grinned, almost acknowledging that stopping an athlete like Griffin can be tenuous.

 

“Given a choice you’d rather have him shooting a 20-footer than taking it the hole and you don’t have to be a genius to figure that out,” Popovich said. “And he knows that and that’s why he works on his shot. Once he gets that down, he’ll be impossible. He’s ridiculous now, but he’ll be impossible.” Griffin took another step towards exceeding ridiculous against San Antonio.

Chris Paul scored 24 points Monday night but it wasn't enough as the Clippers lost to the Warriors 104-97 in Oakland. Blake Griffin scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Mo Williams added 22 points. The Clippers look to bounce back Wednesday night as they face off against the Denver Nuggets.

Blake Griffin had 27 points and 12 boards as the Clippers collected win No. 20 with a 103-95 home victory over the Nuggets. Chris Paul enjoyed a hot shooting night to finish with a season-high 36 points and nine assists.

 

“We needed to get a win and get some momentum going into the All-Star break,” said DeAndre Jordan, who had 10 points, three blocks, and 16 rebounds, including nine offensive boards, matching a career high. “We knew we had to get a win for our team. The last time they were here they [the Nuggets] beat us pretty good so we owed them.”

Griffin finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Chris Paul scored 22 of his 28 points after halftime, incl. a shot over Courtney Lee with 50.6 seconds remaining in OT, to help the Clippers move to 2-1 on their 6-gm, 9-day road trip and maintain slim lead in the Pacific Division. Griffin had two dunks in the game; a left-handed slam in the first half around Luis Scola and the two-handed stuff in overtime. He leads the NBA with 101 dunks on the season.
