Sportsguy9695 Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 Paul Pierce remains "doubtful" to help the Boston Celtics tip off the NBA season against the New York Knicks on Sunday, coach Doc Rivers told reporters.Pierce did not practice at all Friday due to his bruised right heel, Rivers said, but will try to practice Saturday before the team makes a final decision.Even if he is able to play, it will probably be in a limited role as a reserve, Rivers said while Sasha Pavlovic will likely start in his place."He seems to be working more -- as far as working out," Rivers said, according to ESPNBoston.com.
