Who's the Best PF in Los Angeles? Blake Griffin or Pau Gasol? With only one PF spot on the All-LA First Team, who got on your selection? Lemon
Offensively, Griffin is better. Pau isn't extremely far behind because he is a better passer and has a better shooting range. Griffin can create the shot though either by iso or just cutting to the rim. Offensively, Griffin has superstar potential. Defensively, Pau is better. Griffin can rotate well and that's all good, but so can Kevin Love. Pau has the length to affect shots. That's pretty much what it comes down to on this end of the court. I've seen Griffin improve rapidly in his rookie year so my opinion may change at the end of the season. But right now, I'm going with Pau. edit: deng.. looking at the stats... of course Pau's FT% is under .700. <_< Edited December 31, 2011 by Lemon
Newman
Purely based on statistics, sure Griffin has the edge. But Gasol is much more polished offensively and he has a good understanding defensively. I am going with Pau. Looking at the player comparison, I am surprised that Griffin hasn't blocked a shot yet.
