Jerry Jones Gives Cowboys Coach Jason Garrett Another Vote Of Confidence

Recommended Posts

Despite the 31-14 loss to the New York Giants, which ended the Cowboys' season at a disappointing 8-8, owner Jerry Jones gave Jason Garrett another vote of confidence. There had been speculation that Garrett's job might be on the line in the winner-take-all game against the Giants, but Jones repeated what he said Friday. "Unequivocably," Jones said. "I feel that Jason is our coach, and that we can build and do some good things from here. We can take some of the things that we need to do better, and we can address them. I’ve got a lot of confidence in him. He has done a lot of good things here, and he’s learned a lot this year. Hopefully, we all do." Garrett took over from Wade Phillips at mid-season in 2010 and led the Cowboys to a 5-3 finish, giving him a 13-11 record in a season and a half as Dallas' head coach. The Cowboys have not been to the playoffs since 2009.
