YugoRocketsFan
Greece and Italy are doing awesome right now. Greece, Italy, Spain, and countries like that are obviously having problems. But undoubtedly all Northern European/Germanic countries are much better places to live in than the United States. Countries like Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Ireland have much better GDP than the US. They also have cheap healthcare, much less crime than the United States, and cheap university (almost free) http://www.forbes.com/2010/07/14/world-happiest-countries-lifestyle-realestate-gallup-table.html According to this, the top 4 happiest countries all happen to be from Scandinavia (composed of 4 countries) and Netherlands at 5th, while the US is at #14 Also those countries aren't 14 trillion dollars in debt like the US. YugoRocketsFan
LOL, if it weren't for Germany, Europe would be in shambles..... Are you purposefully ignorant to the many flaws of Europeans or are you just stupid? No but I am not ignorant to the flaws of Pakis where there are millions. http://img2.allvoices.com/thumbs/image/609/480/41724841-horrible-condition.jpg Be sure to add your opinion when a place in Europe looks like this. Owner Real Deal Posted January 8, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 8, 2012 Also abolish the health care system? I don't see this anywhere in the Health policy section, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Ron_PaulHe actually came out and stated exactly what I said (almost word-for-word) in one of the debates, and he was the only guy I liked from the party until those comments. Dropping private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, social security, and everything in between...is probably the worst thing he has said. Sure, his other ideas sound great. Stop aid everywhere else, FOCUS ON AMERICA (they all say that), etc...but when he comes out and says that we should all save our money and take care of our own healthcare, when we need it...that's just ignorant, unless he has some plan that drops the cost of everything healthcare by a very significant amount of money, which then leads to less in the medical field, more waiting times, and other things that will ruin that part of the United States even more. This isn’t the first time Paul was questioned about his views on health care. At a recent GOP debate, Paul was asked a hypothetical question about whether an uninsured 30-year-old working man in coma should be treated.“What he should do is whatever he wants to do and assume responsibility for himself,” Paul responded, adding, “That’s what freedom is all about, taking your own risk. This whole idea that you have to compare and take care of everybody…”The audience erupted into cheers, cutting off the congressman’s sentence. After a pause, Paul was asked, “Congressman, are you saying that society should just let him die?” to which a small number of audience members shouted, “Yeah!”Paul, a doctor trained in obstetrics and gynecology, said that when he got out of medical school in the 1960s “the churches took care of them.”“We never turned anybody away from the hospital,” he said. “We’ve given up on this whole concept that we might take care of ourselves or assume responsibility for ourselves. Our neighbors, our friends, our churches would do it. That’s the reason the cost is so high.”http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/12/ron-paul-attacked-for-views-on-health-care That's from the same debate I watched. It was then that he performed damage control, a bit, but it's obvious what he wants to do BEYOND eliminating Medicaid and Medicare. He almost slipped and just put it out there. He's an ignorant man, period. If he were to ditch those programs (even assuming he'd keep private insurance and social security), it would be one of the worst things any President has ever done in office. Owner Real Deal Posted January 9, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 9, 2012 Just watched his views on how to solve our current economic disaster(s). Creative destruction? He wants to let it all fall apart, quickly, and rebuild from it? Look...this stuff may have worked from the 1800's to present day...but there's a difference between that 200-year jump in jobs and such...to what would happen at this point in time. Most everyone was a farmer in the 1700's and 1800's. Creative destruction was so effective, over time, because there were far too many new ideas, products and jobs to utilize. That won't work these days. I just can't believe he's suggesting this.
