Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there wasn't much mention about creating the supporting cast with the exception of acquiring draft picks. The whole money thing is an aspect on its own. If Deron and Dwight are able to join the Mavs without taking paycuts (plus Texas' tax-friendly situation), then Dallas beats New York in that aspect. But in response to this:Williams is a Dallas native who was hanging around in the Mavs locker room regularly throughout their title run – and he has recently expressed his thought that playing in a tax-friendly state with a less-costly standard of living (like Texas) might be quite suitable for him. I'll leave it to you guys to judge the credibility of this, but a member on a Magic forum exchanged DMs with Dwight back in October in which some new things were said. He posted the screenshots of the DMs but took them down because he felt he was jeopardizing future interactions with him. But other members confirm that they saw the messages. Here's his summary of it.well yesterday he repeated that Deron wouldnt come because hes stuck on the owner there...that being said I feel Deron can change his mind and the fact that Williams brought up Texas and Florida in that article lets me know Deron is at least thinking about Dallas and Orlando. I sent Dwight that Deron state tax/market article and he just said "Derons just talking".
