Nash on Kobe: "He's the best player in the world"

Did you see him in the press conference? He said it with a big ass grin on his face. I mean I think it is absurd to rank someone that can drop 48 after a guy that can't even attempt a FG in the 4th quarter

LeBron has led the league in 4th quarter scoring multiple times the last few years over Kobe, and through the first 3 rounds of the playoffs last year he dominated in crunch time. He failed against the same team Kobe averaged 17PPG against in the playoffs and got swept by.

And when LeBron is averaging 30/8/8 with 3.6TO's and a RIDICULOUS TS% of .650 to Kobe's 29/6/6 with 3.9TO's and a low TS% of .537, it isn't too hard to see why people think LeBron is better. Not to mention LeBron at this point is a far more impactful defender as well, and more versatile in terms of the number of positions he can play.

There is no arguement anymore

I found this on RealGM.

Apparently he broke an NBA record last night:

Most Points Single Game, NBA History - Player at Least 16 Seasons Into Career Season:

#1 Kobe Bryant - 48 points (2011-2012)

#2 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - 46 points (1985-1986)

#3 Shaquille O'Neal - 45 points (2008-2009)

#4 Kareem-Abdul-Jabbar - 43 points (1984-1985)

That's the most amazing thing about Kobe IMO...his longevity. The last 13 seasons he's been so consistent it's unfathomable. Granted, at his peak he was capable of more than he was the first and last few seasons of this 13 year run, but he is still without a doubt an elite player and doing things at roughly the same volume and efficiency year after year. And considering his insane mileage (which includes so many deep post-season runs) and rash of injuries, he is nothing short of remarkable.

hey flash wasn't it you that was saying that the big three was better than Kobe/Shaq? Both only have one MVP award, yet pretty sure both had more titles at this point in their respective careers...

Nope. I think that was the other Heat guy who used to post here with us. Pretty sure I said potentially but they have to win the rings for it to even be a question.
