TheHutch
Cleveland! Oh wait, you mean Fielder wants more than $50 AND a new baseball glove? Count us out then.
Warren2ThaG
D.C. According to Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post, the Nationals' owners met with Scott Boras Wednesday in Arizona to discuss first baseman Prince Fielder.MLB.com's Bill Ladson was told by a source recently that there's a "99 percent" chance the Nationals do not sign Fielder. But that may have been a smoke screen. Kilgore is hearing that Washington's higher-ups are "patiently and aggressively" in pursuit of the 27-year-old first baseman, and have been for some time. Fielder owns a .929 career OPS and hit .299/.415/.566 with 38 homers and 120 RBI in 162 games last year for the Brewers. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/nationals-journal/post/nationals-still-pursuing-prince-fielder-met-today-with-agent-scott-boras/2012/01/11/gIQAX1IJsP_blog.html?wprss=nationals-journal Edited January 12, 2012 by Warren2ThaG
Phightins
Nationals wouldn't shock me, mostly because Mike Rizzo has shown a tendency to be careless with money, and also because he seems to have a good relationship with Scott Boras.
