Warren2ThaG
Who do you compare him to? I say a mix of Rondo and Jason Williams.
Owner Real Deal Posted January 12, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 12, 2012 Whoever says Pistol Pete Maravich is banned for life. EDIT: With the exception of iMan.
Nitro
That's actually a really good mix. He's very much like Rondo defensively, and kind of like Steve Nash without the same shooting/scoring game.

Makaveli
His court vision is AMAZING. I'd put him up there with Maravich, Magic and Stockton (my mental health is fine). He is the Rookie of the year & i'm not gonna eat my own words bout this.
Legacy
He reminds me a lot of Nash and Stockton (passing wise). Call me stupid now, but if he stays healthy and gets consistent minutes, I can see him being up there in assists by the time he retires. i am batman u die now
Jose Calderon is what he basically is now. There's room for improvement.

i am batman u die now
Pistol Pete is taking things way to far. You can't compare a legendary player to a Euroleaguer with barely any NBA experience, who's recently gotten exposure due to his horrible shooting percentages.

Nitro
Jose Calderon is what he basically is now. There's room for improvement. Ummm...that's absolutely ridiculous. Kid is 21 years old and averaging 11/9/5 and 2.5 steals as a rookie. The biggest weakness in his game, shooting, is one of the easiest things a player can improve on. He's got good length for a PG, decent quickness, great court vision, a good rebounder, a very good defender, and early on he has hit a number of clutch shots. Again, he's a 21 year old rookie. He'll improve. To say otherwise, barring an injury, is crazy.
YugoRocketsFan
He's Ricky Rubio, you can't compare him to anyone.

Nitro
I don't get why I am ridiculous. Calderon had similar stats in his prime. It doesn't matter, much different playing styles, and Rubio is a ROOKIE with much greater physical tools, which allows for a lot more growth. What's ridiculous isn't so much the Calderon comparison, it's the "no room for improvement" thing.
