Depending on how Marcus Morris does after he gets back from the D-League, Parsons may or may not be the starting small forward in the later parts of the season. Even if Morris outplays Parsons, I can see the Rockets using Morris as a sixth man ala Carl Landry. Glad to see Vucevic is playing well too, really wanted him at draft night. Phightins
Yeah, Vucevic really has been a pleasant surprise. Mostly because I had basically no expectations.

Built Ford Tough
Rubio gets all the hype because of his flashy plays, but in my mind, Irving has easily been the best rookie this season. He doesn't have anywhere close to the offensive weapons that Rubio has (Love, Beasley, Ridnour and Barea >>> Jamison, Gee, Sessions, Varejao) yet he has still put up 16.6/5.2 on 47% shooting while leading the Cavs to .500 basketball. He is only playing 27 minutes a night as well, which is 2 less than Rubio. Rubio is a great story and all, and he has played very well, but Irving has easily been the best rookie to start the year. Cleveland would be lucky to have more than 1 or 2 wins without him and yet he has them playing .500 basketball and in the hunt for one of the final playoff spots in the East. This is from a team who was expected to contend for another top 5 pick this season. My top 5 would be: 1. Irving2. Rubio3. Brooks4. Leonard5. Morris
Owner Real Deal Posted January 14, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 I agree with Sean. Rubio can't be placed over Irving. I know he's playing very well, showing that he can play defense and even make shots here and there (won't need to mention his court vision), but Kyrie is turning out to be a very exciting player, and he's making good decisions on a team full of players that, really, need a leader to make those decision. Irving is that leader, and Cleveland has a shot at sneaking in as the 8th seed (I believe that's where they are right now). Both PG's are very controlled and have a high IQ, though, and are fun to watch. I really have to change my stance on the Cavaliers taking Knight and Williams over Irving and Tristan. Dash
Leonard!!!!!!!! I'm still kind of pissed that we passed up on Leonard for Marcus Morris, would have been like having Battier back on the team (without the three point shooting) but I can see Leonard being redundant to Parsons. I guess I'll have to hold my judgement until Marcus is brought up from the D-League and finally gets some minutes.
