Sħãlïq™
Kobe Bryant's playing 37.7 mins. per game (through 15 games) this season. Will this 'tear him down' if he goes onlike that? And how will this affect his game in the Playoffs? Your thoughts please.
Check my Stats
It's not ideal, but it isn't like Kobe has been playing Tim Duncan type minutes the past years, he is only up 3-4 minutes a game. And nothing will keep Kobe off the floor, whether that is a good or bad thing, well that remains to be seen. Obviously you'd like to get his minutes down, but who takes them? Guys like Darius Morris and Ebanks are already averaging over 15 minutes a game when they do play, which is already a lot for guys like them. This team is in desperate need of a backup wing, problem is, they probably don't want to shell out the money (probably like 3-5M) for a legitimate wing, because they'll have to pay double on the lux tax, or whatever it is, so they will be stuck playing sub-par ones until someone becomes available willing to sign for cheap. I was pretty surprised they didn't try hard to get Pietrus (could be wrong, wasn't paying much attention at the time). So my thought is that this is mildly concerning, and that nothing will "tear down" Kobe Bryant... he'll play hurt even if it means he has to shoot 30% from the field. Owner Real Deal Posted January 17, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 So my thought is that this is mildly concerning, and that nothing will "tear down" Kobe Bryant... he'll play hurt even if it means he has to shoot 30% from the field. He's at 46% having a tear in his shooting hand, since the preseason, so I'm not too concerned with that.
