Legacy
The Indianapolis Colts’ sudden crash has cost coach Jim Caldwell his job. The team fired Caldwell on Tuesday, the second major decision in what is expected to be a long offseason shake-up. Team owner Jim Irsay fired team vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, Chris, the team’s general manager, the day after the season ended.Source
Owner Real Deal Posted January 17, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 You have to wonder if this is all due to conflict created by the Manning/Luck situation. The truth is, heading into the draft and next season, the Colts have a major decision to make on BOTH Manning and Luck (if they should select him, looks like they will...and what to do with Peyton at that point), and this could make or break the franchise for years, so I'm not surprised to see people getting tossed aside. AboveLegit
Not surprised by this at all, always saw Caldwell as more of a figure head than an actual head coach.
JYD
They fired Polian, it was obvious Caldwell was gonna go. Isray wants an entire new regime, Peyton will either not play football again or he will play it in a different uniform.
