Williams didn't get "hit", a Giant simply touched the ball and it squirted out. And who knows if we wouldve scored or not, we were one 30+ yard play from being in FG range.

J. Williams hit the ball out of his hands and we jumped on it. You can twist that any way you want.

And I'm sorry if I don't believe in your offense to score. You guys had the ball with 1:30 left in the 4th and went three and out. I don't like playing this "if this, if that" game.

Good game Niners, you guys are a GREAT team. But WE made the play that ended it. You guys didn't lose, we won.

What's your point? Hold onto the football. And you wouldn't have scored on that possession most likely, he would've been down at the 25 yard line. Long way to go buddy.

I think what he's saying is noone really KNOWS that we wouldn't have scored. Had we been struggling all game? Absolutely. Giants front four were killin our line. Did we already make plays of 30+ yards? Yes we have. While maybe it wasn't likely that we were gonna score, we still had 2 td's on you guys so none of us KNOWS what would've happened. Respect goes to the giants though. Still don't like them at all but they made plays when they needed to be made. Not the niners. Tough pill to swallow but our guys gave it all they had and came up short. Still a hell of a season for us and can't wait to build on this.

I understand what you are saying. The turnover was definitely flukey, not something you can count on. But, in no way could the 9ers offense be counted on to actually drive the field. They had two big plays on blown coverage, color me unimpressed with Alex Smith's play tonight. He threw a lot of passes into the ground, especially on roll outs.

Looking at that play he didn't even hit the ball but got Williams on his arm, maybe a couple of fingertips but nothing that should've made him fumble. There's no other way to put it than Kyle William's lost us the game because I was pretty confident our defense wasn't gonna let the Giants get anything and Alex Smith wouldn't turn the ball over. I knew not having Ted Ginn would hurt us but by no means thought that it would end up losing us the game. I'll be the first to give the Giants credit though, their defense played wayyy better than I expected and offensively they took care of the ball even though we dropped a couple picks but I think we would have done something eventually on offense. The way we lost dissapoints me the most, obviously would have rather wanted the Giants to earn the victory by driving the ball on our defense. None the less, great game and I'll be rooting for the Giants just cuz I dont want ECN to rape this site when he comes back lol.

Btw..Kyle Williams better get his ass cut.

Fair enough.

Kyle Williams is actually a pretty good returner. A key play that got overlooked was when he had that 40 yard kickoff return. But, yeah, I'm sure it's disappointing to think about that right now.

Giants apparently knew they could rattle Kyle Williams. Here's Devin Thomas: “He’s had a lot of concussions. We were just like, ‘We gotta put a hit on that guy. (Tyler) Sash did a great job hitting him early and he looked kind of dazed when he got up. I feel like that made a difference and he coughed it up.”

He definitely got the ball before the arm. I agree with he probably shouldn't have fumbled though.

Also, AB ran the ball another 18 yards on 3 plays AFTER the fumble. I know it's not driving down the field but you guys didn't exactly stop us to make it tougher.

That's also true. The 9ers could've forced the Giants into a long field goal...a 45 yard field goal for Tynes is no "sure" thing. He's missed a lot all season. Allowing them to get into complete chip shot range was just poor on the 9ers part.

But its not like you guys weren't in field goal range already. While it wouldn't have been an easy field goal you guys were still in range.

That return was pretty big for sure but not nearly worth as much as his turnovers which led to a 3 and out (fumble we recovered after losing 10 yards), TD, and a game winning FG. I'm sure he's devastated after what he did but 3 fumbles in one game is inexcusable.

Yeah but the way Tynes was creeping on the FG posts on every attempt before the last one was scary. Atleast I know it was scary for every Giants fan.
