Lakers On the Verge of Exploding

Recommended Posts

I was listening to Gasol's interview today and seems like the Lakers really can't figure out what they're doing wrong. This team will reach their breaking point and the Clippers can win the division if they go and rip the Lakers' hearts out tomorrow. If the Lakers lose to us they're only one game over .500 and they're damn near 1/3 of the way through their schedule. Two road games back-to-back in Milwaukee and Minnesota this weekend. The way they're playing on the road, they could lose both of those games! The fans are gonna start crying for a trade and the players themselves are gonna start pointing fingers. Heads will start to roll. Desperate trades will be made. Hilarity will ensue...

Wish that game was tonight! Can't wait.

I think Gasol will be the first one out the door. If they have any sense they should not trade Bynum, and no way Kobe will leave obviously. Those guys are the really only players with a good value.

McRoberts could fit in at the four and Gasol could be used as bait for a pg.

Its not really anyones fault. We cant do anything without a functional point guard. We were playing pretty well with Blake.

As much as I like Fisher, were not running the triangle anymore. We will have terrible games offensively unless we make a move for a point. Ideally we'd like to post up Gasol-Bynum a lot, but thats not gonna be too effective when we cant even hit wide open shots.

The Lakers aren't focused on winning a championship this season. The chemistry and work ethic are not there. Kobe's playing terrifically, however he is forcing shots, similar to the unsuccessful Kobe of 2006-2007. I am not provoking you guys, but I've recently concluded that a switch has been flipped in Kobe's mind; "We aren't winning. Time to stat pad." That might not be accurate, but the proof is in the metaphoric pudding.

Must have flipped the switch again tonight.
