Built Ford Tough Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 I think he will be back. I remember reading something about him wanting to play for another year or two. However, I could see him retiring if the Spurs were to win a championship this year or if Pop decided to call it quits. I just can't see Duncan playing for another coach with how close those two are. Our window is basically shut, but if he'd like to stay and be an effective player we could sign a center next off-season and build from there. Finch23 Posted January 26, 2012 Report Share Posted January 26, 2012 Duncan has said himself that he will play till the "wheels fall off". Now he isn't putting up huge numbers this year, but he has been solid overall. His defense has been solid and he is starting to rebound a lot better. Since Ginobili went down Duncan has stepped up his game. Like someone else said it all depends on Pop, if he stays then so does Duncan. I do believe that the Spurs will restructure Timmys' contract saving them quite abit of money and will allow them to make a play at a solid FA.
