Team Captains Group

A few years ago, aside from Moderators, Admins, Writers and Graphics, we used to have a Team Captains Group. Each one of the thirty captains had one's own Team Captain bar:

Team Captains were responsible for their team's subforum: news, activity, merging topics e t.c. We used to have a specific format (requirement) for photos. Here's how it looked in terms of size:

Nowadays, in an attempt to increase the activity in the each team's subforum, I think it would be good to make weekly (or monthly) Team Captain Reports, such as the one I created below:

 

Activity Report for the L.A. Clippers subforum for the week January 21st- 28th, 2012:

Improvement for the week (Clippers subforum only):

- a total of 16 topics (2.28 NEW TOPICS PER DAY);

- and 142 replies (20.82 REPLIES PER DAY).

 

Last but not least, Šhãłïq suggests: Let's bring back the Team Captains Group!

I like the team captain idea; but its just a title Shaliq. Everyone knows you are the Clippers captain as I the Hornets.

We did bring them back, a few months ago, and it just didn't work out. I needed all of the members to post everywhere, not just to promote their own team forum, and that's sort of where we're at today as well.

 

Back when we were pretty active, it was different. We were more focused on filling spaces, but now, we're geared towards making up for the spaces we never filled (meaning, posters being replaced over time). A while back, we could have had a team captain for EVERY team (and I believe we nearly did, I think we filled 27 spots, and I took the remaining three). Would be nice to see that again, haha.

 

I'm hoping all of these extra things will encourage activity, and members will start to roll in, somehow. If we can get back up there, I'll definitely assign TC's again. It's been something I've liked to do for a while now, especially when they can help move gameday topics, lmao.

Sha, just keep posting; a title does not earn you respect; though your continual quality contributions has gained the board success, and admiration from OTR and other similar communities.

 

I think Laker said something like that bout you before in your signature right.

We should bring back member teams. Seemed like such a sick idea back in the day but nothing really happened with them.
