A third doctor is being consulted to determine the exact diagnosis. http://i.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=386336 Edited January 28, 2012 by Tony romo

Owner Real Deal Posted January 28, 2012 Owner Report Share Posted January 28, 2012 Don't watch hockey, at all, but I'm assuming this is the beginning of the end for Crosby. Did he ever become good enough to be mentioned among the all-time greats? That's really all I heard about the guy.
NomarFachix
Did he ever become good enough to be mentioned among the all-time greats? That's really all I heard about the guy. When he was playing he was the best player in the game by a good bit. This concussion thing really derailed an incredible career, I hope he's able to overcome this latest injury too
Check my Stats
Don't watch hockey, at all, but I'm assuming this is the beginning of the end for Crosby. Did he ever become good enough to be mentioned among the all-time greats? That's really all I heard about the guy. Best player in the league by the time he was 20, ring in his 4th year (finals appearance in his 3rd).. was the best point producer in the world despite playing with pretty mediocre players on his wing. And oh yeah, he has an olympic gold medal. He accomplished literally everything he possibly could have while he has been in the league. This really is just a terrible story, and keeps getting worse and worse it seems. This is the equivilant to LeBron going down when he was 23 (and if he had accomplished anything yet), just a sad sad story. I really, really hope he can come back, even if he isn't what he was before, you can tell this is just killing the guy. I don't care what anyone says, Crosby is one of the greatest ever, and we didn't even get to see him at his best. EDIT: Reading around, it is sounding like this could actually be good news, as crazy as that sounds. Now they know what is wrong, they might be able to fix it. Pretty scary to think he could have been playing with a fractured vertebrae earlier this year. Pens doctors are going to be in hot water that is for sure. Hopefully this discovery can be the first step in his recovery. Sounds like this is more of a step forward than it is a step back. Also lol at Tom Brady being the one to send him there, what a beast. Check my Stats
Oh yeah, in terms of the greatest of all time thing, well Crosby has a career points per game of 1.388 which is top 5 all time. And the crazy thing is that Crosby was only getting better and better (on pace for the best season of his career when he got that concussion). Phightins
Even if he never plays another game, he is the best player I have ever seen, by a large margin. I despise him when the Flyers are facing him, but the league is obviously a significantly better product if he is healthy and dominating. Universe
Better news IMO. Patches had the fractured vertebrae last season and he's come back fine.
