Should Chicago make any significant moves before deadline?

Technically, they are the best team in the East...but when you watch them, do you get the feeling this team needs to make a move to really solidify their spot as the top team?

With everything considered, if you were the GM, would you make any realistic moves that would effect the starting lineup, or would you roll with what you have now and hope that the Rip Hamilton addition provides enough of a boost to get to the NBA Finals?

Here are the numbers, if you're needing a quick link: http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/CHI/2012.html

If you can make a clear upgrade to the team, ie add a legit superstar like Dwight Howard, then yeah. But otherwise no point in making a move just for the sake of making a move. You look at this team right now: 1st ranked offense, 3rd ranked defense, 1st in point differential and that's with your starting 5 playing only 98 minutes together all season.

The only team,that :

A - Doesn't have a good record.

B - Has a PF,good enough to be an upgrade over Boozer

and

C - Will MAYBE agree to a deal including an injury-prone, highly-paid player like C-Booz

is Golden State, but it doesn't make any sense for them to trade David Lee,since he is playing awesome lately.

If they can get a versatile, explosive scoring SG, then yes. Rip's body has been breaking down for a few years now, and he just isn't the same player he was a few years ago. I don't think the addition of him alone will put them over the Heat, who have more ammunition this around the Big 3 than they had last season. The Bulls need a SG who can stretch the defense as well as make plays off the dribble to take the pressure off Rose when things get tight in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.

JR Smith would be a nice addition, as would OJ Mayo if he is still available. An explosive scoring guard like Terry, Lou Williams, Jamal Crawford, and similar players is exactly what they should be looking for.
