DunkinDerozan
I'm pretty excited for this. Canada is not much of a factor for the Summer Olympics, but its still fun watching the basketball. USA will just absolutely rape everyone. Sħãlïq™
Costly error in injury time ends USA’s Olympic hopes http://i44.tinypic.com/5wdlom.jpg Freddy Adu's Olympic dreams came to a heartbreaking end with a 3-3 draw to El Salvador. (AP)NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On a night of swings and dips and controversy and drama – and one catastrophic error – the United States’ Olympic dreams were washed away amid a flood of tears. The most rudimentary of follies from substitute goalkeeper Sean Johnson in the final seconds of injury time eliminated USA from the CONCACAF qualifying tournament in the cruelest fashion possible, as El Salvador snatched a 3-3 draw at LP Field. The suddenness of it all, the end of an adventure that was supposed to span several more months and cross the Atlantic to London, was too much for many players and head coach Caleb Porter to bear.Source

Need4Sheed
Lol Freddy Adu Dude is lucky he is even on the national team. His worst move in my opinion is stunting his career and going to the MLS to begin his career. Might have been the player everyone expected him to be if he started out in the Euro Youth Leagues. Cobb
Yeah, it's crazy what nine years has done to him. From being a 14-year-old soccer savior to a 23-year-old afterthought playing in the MLS. Quite sad if you ask me.

Sħãlïq™
BREAKING NEWS -- USA ATHLETE, DEBBIE DUNN TESTS POSITIVE!!!! Debbie Dunn, a sprinter who recently qualified for the United States Olympic track team, has removed herself from the team after a positive drug test at the Olympic trials. Dunn’s urine sample at the trials showed that she had a banned synthetic testosterone in her system, according to a statement by Travis T. Tygart, the chief executive of the United States Anti-Doping Agency. A laboratory is testing a backup sample to see if it confirms the initial result. “As in all cases, all athletes are innocent until and unless proven otherwise through the established full, fair legal process which was approved by athletes, the U.S. Olympic Committee and all Olympic sports organizations,” Tygart said. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/14/sports/olympics/us-sprinter-debbie-dunn-withdraws-after-positive-drug-test.html?_r=

Sħãlïq™
Athletics: Kim Collins predicts magic mark in final Former 100m world champion Kim Collins believes all eight men could dip below the 10 second magical mark in the Olympic final in London. Collins was talking in Cardiff at the Wales Athletics International earlier this week where he was forced to pull out the event with a minor groin injury. While Christian Malcolm will compete at a fourth Olympics, the 36-year-old St Kitts veteran is preparing for a remarkable fifth Games. Collins is still in fine form after running under the magical mark at a meeting in France for the first time in nine years earlier this summer, although his 9.98s effort was wind assisted. Asked about whether all 10 Olympic finalists could break the 10-second barrier, the 2003 world champion replied; “If we have good weather it could happen.
