MainEv3nt
http://static03.mediaite.com/sportsgrid/uploads/2012/02/Lin-Story-On-ESPN-Mobile1-628x471.png ESPN’s Jeremy Lin Headline Was “Chink In The Armor,” Then It Was Changed While we very much doubt this was intentional, and wouldn’t give it a second thought if Jeremy Lin was not of Asian descent, someone has to be thinking before putting up a headline like this. It is not on the main ESPN.com website, but was visible on the mobile sites formatted for phones and tablets. UPDATE Shortly after this post, ESPN updated the mobile headline to read “All Good Things…” http://www.sportsgrid.com/media/espns-jeremy-lin-headline-was-chink-in-the-armor-then-it-was-changed/

Legacy
If he was Arab, would an appropriate headline be "Exploding the Big City???"That wasn't my point. I meant that people shouldn't be making jokes at his ethnicity and should be careful with their terms, but for sure broo.
Jenneral
Damn... race should have nothing to do with his ability to play basketball. At all.

Guru
http://espn.go.com/e...my-lin-commentsAt ESPN we are aware of three offensive and inappropriate comments made on ESPN outlets during our coverage of Jeremy Lin. Saturday we apologized for two references. We have since learned of a similar reference Friday on ESPN Radio New York. The incidents were separate and different. We have engaged in a thorough review of all three and have taken the following action: • The ESPN employee responsible for our Mobile headline has been dismissed. • The ESPNEWS anchor has been suspended for 30 days. • The radio commentator is not an ESPN employee. We again apologize, especially to Mr. Lin. His accomplishments are a source of great pride to the Asian-American community, including the Asian-American employees at ESPN. Through self-examination, improved editorial practices and controls, and response to constructive criticism, we will be better in the future. Good. Lkr
to be honest, i'm not sure if those actions were really warranted. "chink in the armor" is a legit phrase that would apply to anyone else...
