Built Ford Tough
Since entering the starting lineup for the T'Wolves 12 games ago, Pekovic is averaging: 16.3 ppg, 9.9 rpg, 1.3 bpg on 60.9 FG% in 31.6 mpg This includes games that saw him put up: 27/1123/1021/1321/1130/12 Him and Love have combined to be arguably the most productive big man duo in the league over this time period and Pek and Rubio have developed a solid chemistry. On the season he is averaging: 12.6 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 0.8 bpg on a 64.7 TS% in 24.4 mpg Just thought it was worth mentioning how well he has played for the T'Wolves as he doesn't seem to get much attention despite his excellent play. Make It Naaaashty
Picked him up in my fantasy league thankfully. Dude had been killing for sure.
Nitro
He's a big body with incredible strength, craftiness in the post (although he doesn't use it a ton...he's like Melo in face-up situations in that he doesn't waste moves, he gets right to what he wants to do), a very solid rebounder, and good post defender. The one big weakness is that he's very slow-footed defensively, so he can definitely be taken advantage of in PnR situations, or by centers who can stretch the floor. Still, in a league that depleted of talented centers, this guy will be very valuable moving forward.
Built Ford Tough
Agree with everything you said. I'd throw in another weakness, though, and that is his passing. He is a very poor passer and when teams double him in the post he does not do a good job of finding the open man. If there is one negative that you can point out about his offensive game during this stretch, it is his turnovers and all around lack of passing ability. He has committed 34 turnovers in this 12 game stretch and has had 7 games of 3 or more turnovers, including 6 one game and 4 on three seperate occasions. He has also had 7 games during this stretch where he didn't register a single assist and the most in one game is 2. He had had 7 assists total during these 12 games. It is understandable give his increased usage on offense and more defensive intensity, but it is definitely something that he needs to work on. It is a minor thing really, considering all the other good things he is giving this team.
